SecondLife - An Incredible MMORPG

I recently signed up for the free trial account at SecondLife.com, an incredible massively multiplayer online role playing game (mmorpg)... I don't normally play these games and I've never signed up for any other one before.

I heard about it on slashdot, it has also been on featured on FARK, CNN, Time and several TV news spots. It's really fun, it's like a virtual world that you can fly around in (literally) and become anyone you want... you can even make money, buy land, the possibilities are endless...

I joined the largest Mafia group just 3 days after I started and am also part of a Creative writing group who meets in their Second Life to share poetry and stories.

Just wondering if anyone else had an account or had heard about it. Let me know if you want more info or want to meet up in the game. :D I would encourage anyone to at least check out the free 7 day trial. Enjoy.

cool! i have played that game and its very good... unfortunately my computer suck so i didnt continue to play after the trial... good game though... do anyone know any free mmorpg available? im poor...

Sorry if I sound really stupid, but what exactly is a MMORPG? Is it like a computer game such as on playstation or similar? I'm easily confused. :oops:

a mmorpg is a game that you only play online, through the internet. u play together with thousands of players at the same time. often you create your own character and then go out in the "virtual world" and do missions, kill monsters, chat with others, etc.

I've been in Second Life for a while and to be forum appropriate, I've actually had lucid dreams where I was in the world! It's even better with the newest version that came out because now I can upload character animations with Poser, so all those dreams I had about being in the Matrix can come true in this place. :D If you haven't checked this place out yet, you gotta go give it a try!

its not ready yet... if i remember right it'll be released in 6 months...
