adidas: Ok, I definitely don't want to piss of a moderater, but please hear me out. Those quotes that Kaniaz picked were totally unfair and taken out of context. For example, several of those posts (ie: "puppies") were answers/comments to "What's This Picture?" in the "Senseless Banter" forum. And you should know because you participated in that thread.

Plus, all Kaniaz did was hand pick a bunch of Evanescent's shortest posts ever. If you picked a sampling of his posts at random, they wouldn't all be so short. And judging his posting behaviour based solely on the "Senseless Banter" forum or by selecting only his shortests posts for display is just unfair.

I know, I'm a total research geek and sound like a defense lawyer, but apparently Evanescent needed one. I hope you see the value, adidas, in my attempt in righteously defending my adopter, and not see it as stirring up trouble.

seriously. if you're not going to change don't be bitching when people call you a post whore... because that's what you are. now if you change i have no problems laying off the post whore thing... but you don't seem to think there's anything whorish about posting 24+ times a day. until you do something... or in this case, restrain from doing something your image isn't going to change.

another thing, it matters more what you post then how many times you post, we call lowercase a postwhore because he posts alot, but we just lovingly tease him because his posts are worth reading, same with Paperdoll. Altough, we dont really call her a postwhore, because we're afraid.

I think pretty much everything has been said, and like we have told pretty much everyone we(as a forum) get in an arguement with, we are really open-minded. If you do what you need to, then we will all forget the past and clear your slate. We don't really care about quantity, as someone just said(too lazy to look it up ), but rather that you place some good, meaty posts.

Anyway, just think to yourself whether or not your post will really add something to the conversation, and if it checks out, then go ahead...post as you wish...

If you were to read my post more carefully, I did state that I was picking out his most recent shortests post from the first four pages of his history (i.e: the most recent). This was to display the quantity of short posts, and how there were alot of them.

Note the passage:

Anyway, feel free to cart yourself over to his most recent posts and draw your own conclusions. I won't be bothering to post in this thread anymore, because I can see all it will boil down to is an "it is", "it isn't", "it is" argument, which gets nobody anywhere. Not that ophiela is a bad poster or anything, but "post whore" dosen't have a set definition, such as "if 35% of your posts are under 8 words short you are a post whore", so naturally there are people who think he's a post whore, then there are people who isn't. I believe he is a post whore. And that's my opinon. (And 512 posts? in 22 days? wtf.)

So, if you just make the posts longer and less of the short ones, all will be well.

haha, no. actually, while surfing for a new avatar I saw that banner and thought I'd use it in my sig..after I saw it under my posts I thought it was a little too big myself. but I kinda liked how it looked and seeing as how NO ONE complained, I left it there. and you know what? there are a couple people here (not going to name any names) with banners in their signitures just about the same size as mine. so if your little modem can't handle it and you don't want to fork over the cash for something faster then you're gonna have to DEAL WITH IT.

you must be reffering to the first thread I ever made, in which I stated that I was a \"goth\". if you'll notice, that topic was made nine months ago. people can change alot over nine months...I was never really a goth, I just called myself one for reasons of my own. I wasn't like your average goth anyway. I liked heavy metal, wore alot of dark clothes, and figured it was alright to call myself \"goth\".
