      The Wheel of Time

I am reading through the series again.

      WOW.

Robert Jordan is an amazing writer...great guy. The plot alone is something to die for.

What do you guys think, or those of you who have had the distinct honor of reading the series?

      Excellent - loved it.
Kind of starts losing its edge on the 6th or 7th book though

Haven't heard of them. Are they anything like the "Wheel of Fortune"?
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

Lol!! I haven't heard of it either, but that was just too funny. To me.

But now I feel ignorant for not knowing about it, so I think I'll go check it out.......

      edit:
After all, he had been one of Lan's teachers, and one of the first lessons had been to be aware of his surroundings at all times, even in his sleep. Not an easy lesson for a boy to learn, but only the dead could afford oblivion. The oblivious soon became the dead, in the Blight beyond the Borderlands.

"...only the dead could afford oblivion. The oblivious soon became the dead..." WOW!! I love this, why have I never heard of it before?!?! Cool!!

Yep Ophelia... what rock were you hiding under before ?

I've got most of the series in e-book format if anyone is interested.
On second thought..hmm.. that would be illegal. And of course I would NEVER do something like that. So I don't have them anymore

      Other fantasy series I recommend:
      - David Edding's Belgariad
      - Magician... forget the author's name .. dammit...

Also: Terry Goodkind's THE SWORD OF TRUTH is pretty good.
