Tell me...any thrillseekers in this here site?

      Hi there folks.

T'is been a while since I last started a thread here, but I've been wondering if there are any other DV'ers here that really enjoy a good rush.

I know we've got some aspiring pilots and some skydivers and SCUBA divers, but what about the rest of you...ever done anything thrilling/amazing/incredibly dumb?

I've had the luck of experiencing a few things I'll never forget...

-I had about 11 or 12 lessons at my local airport in a Cessna 172, nowhere near anything needed to fly in anything other than clear weather...though still incredible,

-I've traveled a good section of the U.S as an insane roller coaster enthusiast, (CP wins by far)

-I've been one dive away from becoming a NAUI (it's been a while, sorry if the acronym's wrong) certified open water diver and...and this was the most risky of them all...|
      |
-I've crusied for a good 3 hours at really a rather quick speed on the plains highways between Quebec and Ontario Canada. I checked 1) tire pressures, 2)speed ratings,3)weather and road conditions, 4)speedtraps 5)No weaving, passing at that speed or heavy braking) (I was prepped for my little adventure))...say well into the triple digits. (the limiter kicked in to prevent further engine damage as the RPM was way in the red) top speed on some straights, (actually didn't feel all that special) and still very high speeds steadily...I'd rather not say numbers as i've said enough about that...NOTE: I do not condone incredibly fast driving...

-I've done other..rather sexual things, though not all that much.

I hope to experience a good deal more stuff in the coming years...
So tell your bro (me) what you've done..I'm not in law enforcement, though a bit of discretion is wise...

I look forward to reading some interesting things, and perhaps some more ideas .

Well I love roller coasters. Sadly I've only ever been able to go to one theme park. Well two actually, but the second one was in Moscow and that one didn't count cuz it was for wussy people.

I would love to go sky diving and all that, preferably in Australia/New Zealand hehe.

I recently went skydiving though. Good stuff.

      Definate thill seeker here.

Yeah, Cedar Point Michael...if you've been there you've probably seen the best of the best...though the lines nagged me a bit but eh..gotta deal with that. I hope to skydive one day, I'm eager to try what they call a "wingsuit"...though I suspect you need extra training for that.

Have a look at Cedar Point Mes..if you like roller coasters truly, it may become a destination. (When my brother went to medschool in missouril, (I went with him to help him move all his crap and ajdust) we took a roadtrip in his car and CP is one place we spent 2-3 days at..certainly worth it

I looooove roller coasters. My idea of a great time! The best I've been on have been the ones from Six Flags. I've ridden Kingda Ka, which was awesome. My favorite has to be Nitro though. Both of these are from Six Flags in New Jersey.

I would love to go to Cedar Point, as soon as I can. Since you guys have been there, which roller coaster do you recommend? Which ones the one with the biggest drop?

I want to go ski-diving as soon as I find someone to go with. = P really dont want to do it alone. lol

Haha Xox..glad you're another one. I've been to Six Flags Great Adventure (Sfgadv) almost every summer but yeah..go for Cedar Point. Well, if you really want to know, you'll have to wait in long lines, but my my, is it worth it. Nitro in Six Flags is a top of the line ride but Millenium Force in CP is about 100 feet taller, 10 mph faster, and oh so thrilling....Of course top thrill dragster as that did hold the tallest/fastest record ever until sfgadv copied with Kingda Ka(now taller by about 40 feet...holding the record) though both tend to break down alot...Also.it's a good idea to spend a good full 2 days there at least..1 won't do it. ..go for the modern steel coasters as the woodies will kill your back. the newer ones are so much more satisfying... (go early, or if you get a vacation during the year sometime..it will be less crowded)...meh..they've got a pretty interactive site, have a look..you'll be hooked ...i know i am..i can't wait to return.

Haahha..six flags group Mes? If you wind up in nj let me know heh. I liked travelling to other parks more though. 1-they ran the parks better 2-nicer staff, 3-better and better maintained rides...

Oh Xox Tell me if you go to sfgadv! T'would be rocking to get a dv group together for a trip like that..

As for skydiving...I'm legal to give it a go now of course but I weould not know where to go..plus it's a big hunk of money for a trial..but i guess worth it. *goes looking for jump sites*

Sorry for my scatterbrainedness..I just had about 4 cups of black coffee for no reason.. i liked the taste

Now i'm in a cold sweat and jittery as anything..ready for some thrill-seeking!

I've pretty much done it all when it comes to air stuff, and I'd do it all again, and again, and again... Aerobatics takes the cake, it's so insanely fun, it makes regular flying look like a chore (a nice one though ). Ground thrills just aren't the same anymore...

Rollercoasters are awesome! We have a few big ones here, but nothing in comparison to the ones I went on over there!

The only real thrill seeking I do is snowboarding! Chucking yourself down a mountain off piest for a few thousand ffeet is pretty insane!!! Okay well you don't go down tat far, but it's awesome none the less

I enjoy skydiving and parasailing. Once I graduate I'm going to get into hang gliding too I'm sure. I also like free diver (no tank.)

Oh yea. I forgot wakeboarding and jet skiing etc. After you do it so much, it's more like a sport and competition against friends. Still a thrill once in a while.

Surfing is fun too. But the waves in the Gulf suck major ass, until hurricanes come. (dangerous but fun)

I think shark fishing is a thrill also.

I've got that side of me. I've done a bunch of skydiving and bungie jumping, and was always ready for more of that good stuff. I hear racing cars is actually way more thrilling than skydiving (and that's from a professional skydiver turned racer).

i really want to go sky diving. Me and my friends are planning to in the next little while.

I like to paintball. Not many things will get your adrenaline going faster than getting shot at lol. And Getting head shots always brightens your day.

but the biggest thrill i enjoy is scuba diving. I like to deep dive the best. My record is 133ft At first you wouldnt think scuba diving would give too much thrill. But there is a condition called Nitrogen Narcosis that happens at around 80+ ft. You see when you dive, the air in you tank compresses the deeper you go. So at around 100 ft you are not breathing the regular air (roughly 75% nitrogen 25% oxegien) you are breathing extremely compressed air with about 350% nitrogen instead of 75. all that nitrogen is like laughing gas. Its like expeirencing WILD underwater. Weird noises, somtimes you see funny, and you lose track of time. I almost floated away once because i lost track of where i was and what i was doing for like 10-15 sec. I have absolutly no memory of that. It makes it kinda dangerous so You gotta be careful. Its really awesome just being down there. Its a completely different world.

      wow i rambled alot. lol
      Total lucid dreams=88

I have always wanted to try that. Even just standing in a hurricane is awesome. Katrina was category 1 by the time it got to Jackson, but I still loved standing in it and watching the clouds fly by like cars on the Audubon. I probably should have worn a motorcycle helmet and a mattress.

Which reminds me... Just swimming in the ocean during a storm is incredible. It's not the safest thing there is, but I love doing it. The sky looks so cool, the wind is really high, and the water is total chaos. I love it.

I jumped across a creek the other day. The rocks were kind of slippery, too.

Yeah, the weather can definately provide a little excitement. One thing I did, though not exactly "thrill seeking" (but is sure gets the adrenaline pumping), was jumping in a frozen lake in the middle of our big bad winter .

Hahhhah Spart...yeah..I want to share in some of that frozen lake swimming you norherners call fun! Freefire..that must be fantastic...I've never been anywhere close to that depth and felt the thrill you speak of...(Not Nitrogen Narcosis as anything like that at those depths would scare the sh*t out of me). I've found myself exhausted in even calm water so swimming in a raging storm would probably be a no-no for me..though who knows...adrenaline can get you far....Perhaps I'll look into skydiving though...not a commitment, but an experience, would be quite thrilling.

Ah-I've always wanted to hold a large sheet or wing outside during high hurricane winds...I dream of that

How wide was the creek Moonbeam? just curious

At least 6 feet wide. At least. Like I said, some of the rock were pretty slippery. Yea, I went back and forth a couple times.
