random stuff on icedawg's mind that pisses him off
1. there's a girl at work who apparently is making herself ill over trying to lose weight. supposedly she's starving herself, which i think is an awful thing to do since the body will utilize muscle for energy first before it dips into the body's stored fat cells; what's more, she doesn't even need to lose weight. thus, she's just making herself very weak by doing this. the really sad thing is it's thought that she's doing this for her boyfriend. why would anyone want to be with someone who just constantly made her feel bad about who she is? i suppose sometimes people just don't feel good enough about themselves to even realize they deserve better. i just think it's sad that she can't find someone who can help her feel good about herself...there's some really neat people out there who can do things like that without even putting forth a discernible effort to do so; somehow their aura itself seems to exude boundless warmth.
2. i'm sure we all know people who are with someone just to be with someone; i hate that. i just don't really understand that...i mean, i sort of do, but quite frankly i'd prefer be alone than ever find myself in a situation such as that. people in these situations are selling themselves short and are missing out on more than they'll ever realize. the girl mentioned above is pretty well in this situation. her boyfriend recently cheated on her--and the girl whom he went after apparently pressed charges against him (but later rescinded them)--which of course devastated her, but she stayed with him anyway! that just really makes me mad because there's some mistakes that just should never be made. we're human, of course, and we need to make mistakes so that we can learn from them, but again i feel some are so deplorable that we should be able to avoid making them. i seem to have a special gift for making mistakes, but even i could never do something that horrible.
3. 'King of the Hill.' grrr...
4. people who say "i could care less"; here's a clue: were ya tryin' to say "i couldn't care less?"
erm...that's enough for now.

My thoughts exactly.
Something that is really pissing me off is the fact that humanity, (and the media) focuses mostly on the negative aspects of a situation or problem...for instance the Iraq war...there are many positive things in life than they focus on, and it makes me blow my top that every time you watch the news you get in a mood from all the negative bullshit...which New York Times will tell you that 80% of the media is falsifiable...bullshit basically....

That's how the media works. It captializes on sensationalism that focuses on the negative, "shocking" information. This probably is going to screw the system in the long run but who thinks that far?
