I think this test is way more valid of your typing ability than a test that would make you type predictable sentences.
Actually, sentences aren't predictable.
Randomy simple words are far easier to type. I didn't make a single mistake while rushing through it at top speed. The words are short, simple and common.
But when typing whole sentences you get various names, both long and short, complex words and so on and so forth.
And who needs an interactive test if it doesn't give you WPM automatically?
I'm not wasting my invaluable time calculating anything! :P

I must say though, in the original test, I make a ton of mistakes, because sometimes I just automatically write "the", because the previous word usually have a "the" after it, or the next word should one in front. Also, I sometimes hit enter, skipping a word, failing it. The worst mistake for me, is when I'm a word ahead of the test, so I get likt 6 words wrong, before I notice. Instead of making it one word at a time in order, they should just make all the words on the page possible to write out at any time.
