I ran into this, and I first I thought it was fake... but it actually switched on me randomly, so this seems like a legit test. Really cool if you haven't seen it. Which did you initially see?

CLockwise. I tried to change it, but i couldn't.
clockwise, easily interchangeable to counter but not back to clockwise unless I looked away then looked back.
You sir, are blind.
Anti-Clockwise for me
I found an explenation. The dancer only spins half a circle, then starts spinning the other way again. The frames are not the same, since it's probably a 3D animation converted into an animated .gif file.
This way the dancer's direction can never be fully determined.
I saw her undress, so I'm penis-sided.
Went clockwise for me, I made it go anti-clockwise but then I couldn't for the life of me get it back to clockwise again.
Both, but prodominatly counter clockwise
The same thing different post, more discussion -- HERE
Anti-clockwise for me, no clockwise AGGHHHHHHHHHH QUIT CHANGING BITCH!!!
ha-ha sooooooo true!! :P
It spun both ways.
You sir, are blind.
Interesting, I can only see her spinning clockwise. It seems so obvious. But I already knew that I'm more right brained, being left handed. But it does bother me a little that my left brain is so weak it can't even make her go the other way. :P
At first I saw it counter-clockwise, then it switched to clockwise, then I made it switch back and forth by looking at the feet, but then I couldn't do it anymore and it ended up on clockwise, which worried me so I quit looking at it.
I tested my BF, and not only did he only see it going strictly counter-clockwise, I'm not sure he believed I could see it going the other way. So I think it is legitimate--he is the definition of left-brained.
Counter-Clockwise; and I could change direction at will.
To change its direction, just tell yourself that the extended leg is either the woman's right or left leg, it's easiest when the leg crosses in the middle.
Yeah I can make it change directions now. But I still see it going clockwise easier.
For me it was clockwise first, and would change direction if I read the text at the side. While it was going one way or the other, it was hard for me to believe that it hadn't actually changed direction while I looked away--I didn't catch it changing direction, but neither could I see it going the other direction while I was focused on it. Going down the columns of characteristics, I can claim several on the left brain side, but comparing the pairs, I favored the right every time.
Strictly clockwise and no other way. But all that gubbins about left and right brained is a load of bullsh*t in my opinion, because I am the definition of a left-brainer whereas apparently according to the picture I am a right-brainer.
This angers me.
The firm said users of the iTunes music store would automatically download graphics of album covers for music ripped from CDs, allowing them to search through animations of album art as well as by name lists.
The switchover means all Macs can now run Windows as well as the Mac's own OS X operating system, a factor which some analysts say has helped sales.
The same system, Mr Jobs said, would allow easy searching of TV shows and movies downloaded.
Actually, it DIDN'T spin.
Weird.
It looked like this:
{---}
then
{-}
then
{}
then
{-}
then
{---}
Y'know? And so on...
A skrinking and expanding image.
rightbrained.. but I already knew that
though I was able to flip it, kinda like those thing-a-ma-hummas 3D pictures where you see stuff in the wavy lines (help me out here)
Fuck you, I'm right, you're wrong >=(
Wow, I first started seeing it turning clockwise but studied it to make it turn counter. And I think the trick is for the people who cant do it freely is to: Not to look at it as a Third Dementional image but as a 2D one. Focus more on the legs and tell yourself or let your brain know that the leg isn't going away but coming towards you. After you think your getting it, draw your attention towards the upper body so you don't confuse your mind and get stuck seeing the dancer both ways. Now I can simply switch from clockwise to counter and back. Nice, where can I find more of these brain exercises.
I could only see her rotating clockwise at the beginning and i didn't understand how any of you could possibly see it going counterclockwise, it seems logical to me that she's goin clockwise, but after reading some of your post , i've been able to see it rotating counterclockwise and change it at will!
That's weird...just weird... :P
But i definatly am right-brained, and i already knew it since i am passioned by art, literature, poetery, sport and music! i'm the exact defenition of right-brained people :boogie: lol !!
Would you like to elaborate on that?
I explained how the thing was made. It depends on the individuals brain, how they'll perceive it.
Look at the pic. You can see from the frame that I caught it on, it has the feet in two directions. And, whith this in mind, you can figure out whick way it could turn, both.
It was counter clockwise at first, i looked away to read the description and then it just spun clockwise and i couldn't change it.
ARGH! Clockwise, and if I try to change it my brain hurts. :shock:
I can make it spin both ways.
To me, it was originally going anti/counter clockwise, but after I voted on the poll and went back to the page it was going clockwise.
I must have been using the the left-side of my brain when I first opened it, and then for some reason I started using my right-side. :hrm:
EDIT: I just made it go anti-clockwise again.
Clockwise for me, but took a while to get it to figure out on how to change it. But once I figured it out, it was easy, but if I left it on the anti-clockwise, it would eventually return to turning clockwise after a while. Quite cool though.
That' tripped out when you make it change.
Can't change it at will, kinda sorta.
Counter-clockwise
You can change the direction at will by focusing only on the her foot that slightly elevated and nothing else.
omg
it WAS spinning counter clockwise, and now its going clockwise O_O OMG!?!?!
thats odd
It started out clockwise, but then I started alternating it back and forth at will. I was able to switch it at every leg image convergence. That must mean that I am about equally left-brained and right-brained? That is what I have figured for a long time.
So far, the poll has 24 right-brained and 9 left-brained. There must be something to that because lucid dreaming is a very right-brained person thing to get into.
hallusions :)
Mine went counter clockwise, then clockwaise,then back again...
I really think it changes!
for me it goes both ways, i can stop it from going either way half-way through and make it turn around and vice versa, its almost as if i control the image lol, yay for me im evenly-brained
i could make it CCw for as long as i want along with CW
the image is meant to fool your left or right brain
can't fool me ;)
counter-clockwise.
It always starts clockwise but I can change it at will.
