It's not that I don't care what happens to the country, it's that I don't care who gets voted in - two sides of the same coin. Nothing will change as long as the current system of government exists, and so, to me, it's all the same. Well the united states is a republican, so the public vote doesn't make one damn difference. About 250 people in the electoral college elect the next president, and all of those people are just capitalistic pigs. I cannot contemplate a reason why the american public is allowed to vote... except that they are just stupid and the government exploits them into thinking that they have a say in the government. Hes not trying to make it a dictatorship. I can see why some people don't vote though. I was thinking of voting 3rd party(which doesn't stand a chance) or not voting at all(I will though) because the two running both kind of suck. I would rather someone not vote than randomly picking someone though. Thats always nice the person on the top always has a slight advantage because people pick him more often just because hes on top. I would vote, but im not elligble(not old enough). I just dont like the electoral votes thing. Say one candidate wins the majority of votes, but the other president wins in the electoral votes. I'm not a citizen and neither are my parents so i never bothered learning this. I remember my history teacher was talking about how its not fair. He said that people in say, montana, that their vote counts more than someone from massachusetts. Like every 1 of their vote counts as 3 somewhere else with a highly dense state. Life has never felt more like a dream to me than it does these days. As a kid I was always uncomfortable with what was going on. I saw everyone running around blissfully, but I ALWAYS had the sensation that something wasn't right. I heard about possibilities of major earthquakes, comets, ebola virus, whatever, and I was always scared to death...Thanks a lot society...These days, I EMBRACE change, regardless of what happens. I WELCOME a 10-magnitude earthquake...or at least something major. We need it already. I no longer fear death, yet I will push on in my quest to bring people together, regardless of what happens. Truth-bearing has never felt so comforting. I've started to notice peoples' desire to be together, even if I do see the chaos, for it's the chaos which causes harmony. I love when people feel like they can open up to me and share their feelings. I want people to just be happy being alive, and not worry about the bad stuff.
