I'm afraid of things being thrown at my face (anything, paper airplanes, tennis balls, etc.). Seeing a little kid with something that they're gonna throw to me just freaks me out.
Lol, he probably wanted to delete it because his poll didn't show. Which it generally doesn't in the first few minutes of thread creation.
Anyways, I am most afraid of close ones dying.
im terrified of spiders!
if i see one i freak out and pass out from hyperventalating.
Spiders. Kind of a wimpy fear I know, and if i could get rid of it I would. But I can't. It all started when I was 5 and a spider ran up my leg and into my shorts. :(
My greatest fear isn't a creature, nor death, but rather failure.
No not like some annoying person on DV posting the elephant picture or saying "Fail." I mean like trying something and failing to complete it, or doing poorly on something. Failure is not an option. I guess that's why I do so well in school, I have a mortal fear of failure. :paranoid:
My biggest fear is the possibility of disappointing others. I am a people-pleaser by nature, so I'm careful with what I say and how I act, but sometimes I do so to the extent where I can sometimes neglect myself in order to fulfill someone else's wishes (primarily at work; being unable/unwilling to say "no".) It can also keep me from trying new things or starting new projects because I feel that I won't do well or won't finish and thereby disappoint someone else.
I've done better and am more willing to try new things or even just talk to people with a little bit of encouragement from someone I know. I think it started when I was in elementary school and my siblings had friends and were good in sports, and my way of excelling was in academics. Since I was good in school, I didn't want to do poorly at give another reason for people to ignore me.
haha @ "Michael Jackson" :chuckle: dude seriously that guy could freak anybody out!
I'm pretty terrified of spiders, and clowns are definitely creepy though I probably wouldn't go running in the other direction unless it was a clown doll come alive or something.
But the thing that scares me the most is not my own death, but the death of someone close to me. I don't even like to think about it (or write about it...) because I'm afraid I'll make something bad happen just by sending out the negative energy of bad thoughts.
Yes, I sort of agree with that. My dad suddenly died when I was 11 and I felt like dying when I found out. I didn't actually feel like dying but I felt the worst I have ever felt in my life. Worse than when they stopped showing new Fresh Prince of Bel Air episodes. If someone's whole family were to die, I feel like it would almost be better to die with them than live on with all the pain.
Bees/Wasps
I seriously am terrified of them.
When one comes around me I haul ass.
I hate wasps! OK with bees, though.
Out of the above though I'd have to go with bugs. Not a phobia by any means but they do creep me out in large numbers.
I once thought I was going to lose somebody. I had never been so afraid in my life. :( Man, I'd take buckets of spiders over that.
im afraid of losing my cool in a bad position, being in the middle of a tough spot and slowly tears start to form on your eye and when trying to continue argueing people notice, in other words humiliation. it rarely happens but i need to learn how to keep my cool.
Bees and Wasps - I run like a little girl from them. >>;
Heights - almost the most. I have a horrible fear of falling off something. XD I'm very clumsy, too.
Walkaround characters - you know, like at Disneyland? When I was 5 I was playing a video game at Chuck E Cheese's...and the big rat scared me and practically grabbed my tiny shoulder with his paws. I ran under the table for the rest of the night. >>; I'm not so scared of them anymore, but they do make me uncomfortable.
The dark - when I'm alone in the house. Sometimes I look up and I see shadows moving about. In my lucids, if it's dark, I'm afraid I'll get too scared and imagine a monster (then create it in front of me o.o ).
The only real fear I have is being a failure in life and being alone. There's nothing really else that scares me.
I picked "Death" because I do fear death greatly, however it is a draw between heights and death. I have gotten really scared over heights before :(
