      Bush reveals his motives

      http://cnn.aimtoday.cnn.com/news/story.jsp...20040805DCPM102

``Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we,'' Bush said. ``They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.''

I just couldn't believe this when I read it. There is absolutely no way a person can say something like this by mistake. What I mean by that is that he couldn't have phrased it wrong, he just blurted out the truth on accident. If you still think it was just an honest mistake, then try and understand that he is just too fucking stupid to be president for another 4 years.

Saying something like that is like going to a funeral and making a speech as follows- "It's a sad day as we are here to mourn the passing of Larry, who was taken from us by cancer. I'm sure glad he contracted cancer, it was my intent from the moment I introduced him to cigarrettes."

I think he meant "and we are also looking for ways to harm their country" but it still was funny.

Even if he meant "their country", it's still just as sadistic.

i think he meant that they think about the ways that the terrorists want to hurt their country so they can defend themselves against it.

but yeah that was a stupid sentance.

This is what Micheal Moore has done to America, he makes people pay attention only to soundbytes. Obviously Bush mispoke, if you don't realize that then you're the dumb-ass.

Next time take a prescious moment of you life, and watch the whole press conference before ripping on the President because of one sentence.

      (Note: I haven't seem Michael Moore's movie, and I don't need to)

I know he didn't mean to say that, but there's an enormous difference between agreeing with them and saying something to the effect of "we intend to not let any of their plans proceed". If he had any balls, he would resign (he hasn't made any positive contributions to the world anyway). As somebody else suggested, he might have meant "we are also looking to destroy their country", which is still just as sadistic.

Donkeys, elephants, they both piss me off. Most people seem to adhere to a mentality that just because I hate Bush means I'm a democrat (I am not, of course). There are more than 2 ways to view the world.

      Some more Bush quotes....
I know what I believe. I will continue to articulate what I believe and what I believe -- I believe what I believe is right.

Border relations between Canada and Mexico have never been better.

I promise you I will listen to what has been said here, even though I wasn't here.

We're in for a long struggle, and I think Texans understand that. And so do Americans.

I want to thank my friend, Senator Bill Frist, for joining us today. You're doing a heck of a job. You cut your teeth here, right? That's where you started practicing? That's good. He married a Texas girl, I want you to know. Karyn is with us. A West Texas girl, just like me.

There's an old saying in Tennessee -- I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee -- that says, fool me once -- shame on -- shame on you. You fool me, you can't get fooled again.

Every life matters, whether it be an American life or the life of an Afghan girl.

But as a result of evil, there's some amazing things that are taking place in America

Our nation must come together to unite.

If you don't stand for anything, you don't stand for anything.

One of the common denominators I have found is that expectations rise above that which is expected.

Well, I think if you say you're going to do something and don't do it, that's trustworthiness.

Wars cost money, would you rather that the troops over there weren't funded at all? They need paychecks, food, medical supplies, equipment, arms, etc. Those things don't just come out of thin air you know. Before you start criticizing the spending, take a look at what its being spent on.

The largest attack on American soil in history, a major economic recession and several major corporate scandals. It hasn't exactly been the easiest four years that a president has ever seen. I'd say he's done a pretty good job of damage control. Oh yeah, and he got Saddam. I dare you to take the position that Saddam is an innocent man.

why don't you learn the facts before you defend bush's spending policies. bush came to office claiming that he was a fiscal conservative...

Since bush's election the government spends $20,000 a year for every household in the United States, the most since World War II.[/b]
the $236 billion federal surplus Bush inherited in January 2001 has turned into a $374.2 billion deficit.[/b]
Today, Bush will usher in another big, new spending program, signing Medicare legislation that creates a prescription-drug benefit for senior citizens at an estimated cost of $400 billion over the next 10 years.[/b]
\"Spending is up across the board,\" said Brian Riedl, a budget expert at the Heritage Foundation, a conservative research center. \"In the past year and a half, we've had the biggest education bill in history, we've had the biggest farm bill in history, and now we're about to have the biggest expansion of the Great Society.\"[/b]
Robert Bixby, executive director of the Concord Coalition, a bipartisan budget watchdog group, said Bush had joined with the Republican-led Congress in \"a huge explosion of spending.\"

\"The Bush administration hasn't done anything to control spending,\" he said. \"He hasn't vetoed a single [spending] bill as he contributes to the expansion of entitlement programs.\"[/b]
and the claim that we're now in a war on terrorists is bogus... homeland security takes a whopping $41 billion dollars a year since 9/11... now, in a federal budget of $2.1 trillion that about 2 percent of federal spending.

and through all of this spending... through all of these bills that he has passed he still has something to say...

\"Congress must hold the line on unnecessary spending,\" he said during a September visit to Kansas City, Mo. \"They need to understand that in order to cut the deficits in half, we must have spending discipline in Washington, D.C., and I will insist upon spending discipline.\"[/b]
bush is a dumbass when it come to economics and forming sentances... i'm sorry.

adidas: Hey don't get me wrong, I agree that the Bush administration has made some short-sighted spending decisions. But you can't hold him personally responsible (well, you can if you want) for all of those steps toward an astronomical deficit. These bills are voted on and passed by members of both parties, and if you think it's going to get any better under a Kerry Administration, think again.

      Yes

Before you start criticizing the spending, take a look at what its being spent on. [/b]
Ok...its being spent on killing....hmmm...still gonna critisize it.

The largest attack on American soil in history, a major economic recession and several major corporate scandals[/b]
All this was allwoed to happen under our great leader...

Oh yeah, and he got Saddam. I dare you to take the position that Saddam is an innocent man.[/b]
Sadaam was good close friends with the US. Then one day the US just started pretending its close ties with IRaq didnt exist. And using that logic, if you remove Sadaam then you should ligcally remove several other leaders in the area, and logically should remove Bush a well.

Hey don't get me wrong, I agree that the Bush administration has made some short-sighted spending decisions. But you can't hold him personally responsible[/b]
Why not? WHy wouldnt you blame the president for the mistakes of his administration? Number one rule of leadership...everythings your fault. And I believe Bush is the boss.

and if you think it's going to get any better under a Kerry Administration, think again.[/b]
Of ocurse its not gonna get better with kerry. Bush and Kerry are good friends anyways. Two sides of the same coin. Which is why I continue to urge people to ignore the government and live your lives the way you see fit.

Bush claims "Jobs are created when the economy grows; the economy grows when Americans have more money to spend and invest" Funny... it didn't work the first time he did it, why the hell would it work the second time? Secondly, his tax cuts weren't cuts at all- he simply taxed us elsewhere to make up for his own losses.

Saddam not being innocent is no reason to go to war. There are dozens of countries like that in the world, we might as well go to war over all of them, even ourselves because innocent people are being killed, raped, and tortured under the Bush administration.

Bush did not handle himself well after 9/11 struck. He was in his damn bomb shelter for a long time while Rudy Guiliani was out on the streets right after. Props to Rudy.

Bush is also attempting to turn this country into a big brother state (patriot act!). And the reason why it was passed so quickly is because if a senator didn't vote for it, people would think he was unpatriotic (immoral tactic by Bush)

He is pretty much attempting to start quarrels and petty fights with every nation out there. Take Cuba for example, Bush made an argument against Fidel Castro based on a student's report about Cuba and how Fidel Castro said they had the most educated prostitutes in the world. It turns out that the quote was made up, and that Bush didn't even decide to listen to the entire quote/speech. Bradybaker, looks like you're critisizing people for what Bush did.

He openly said in an interview that "there ought to be limits to freedom", where he was reffering to a web site that critisized him. Uh oh! Somebody used their freedom of speech, let's try and take away that right because it's a slight inconveniance to him! What a wuss...

He disagrees with the wiccan's right to practice their religion in the military. If Bush had his way, this website would probably be shut down and a lot of us would be taken away to be burned at the stake.

He wants to use nuclear weapons in preemptive strikes against immediate threats. Wasn't Iraq an immediate threat? Shithead doesn't learn from his mistakes.

Also, why do you think that the only way to support our troops is to send them supplies? If the Bush administration actually supported our troops, we would put them out of harm's way. My second cousin (Collier Barcus) was killed July 8, 2004, in Iraq from mortar fire. The insurgents made one hell of an assault, here's an article of what happened for those curious: http://www.nwherald.com/MainSection/281549...49247180223.php

Apparantly Collier (who I think I met only once) had wanted to help the Iraqi people, but you need to understand that a lot of the people who were sent to war at the begginning were just kids who just joined the army to get something out of it (not put their live's on the line for other people).

ohh i know for a fact that the kerry administration won't be any better... i'm just saying that the only reason i'm republican is because of economics... economics drives the world and it's really important in my book... now when i have two candidates that will let bills like these pass but one of them is poorly articulated bigot i'm going to vote for the lesser of two evils. -- i by no means like kerry but with the gay marriage, abortion and stem cell research issues breathing down our backs i'd rather have a donkey in office.

i'm pro... but at the same time i want less government involvement... so i'm split. i just see economics as the life blood of a country so i made a choice. now, until a competent republican comes along i'll be voting for donkeys for the mere fact that i value human rights.

i watched the news about two weeks ago when someone another had compiled their report to say that wotsitmecallit had incorrectly stated that saddam had weapons of mass destruction.

bush was then heard to say

'if we had known that saddam did not have weapons of mass destruction' we would never have commenced the war.'

what the hell kind of statement is that?? is he saying that he would have continued to allow saddam his reign of terror, killing all those people, allowing them to remain living in fear? is that humane, or even what the united nations (if that's the right group) is even about?

there's somewhere else in the world (can't rememeber where) that is suffering intense concentration camps, women raped and beaten, men kept seperate to serve as slaves. aid is getting to this place, but only just outside the concentration camps. ... these slave/prisoners are getting nothing but inhumane brutallity, whilst the 'camp leaders' thrive on the aid.

bush etc could easily go in and sort this out. but they haven't. and why's this? because that country is poor and has nothing that they would want.

sorry i can't remember exact names etc, don't tend to remember stuff like that as it just seems very uninportant these days. i don't watch the news often, as what i see sickens and angers me. politics is a horrible, greedy, selfish business.
This reality is like a goldfish bowl. The dreamworld is the same, but larger. It's easy to get lost.

All the problems under Sadaam's rule are insanely exaggerated to keep people hating Sadaam. I just somehow dont believe that the leader of a country would sit around watching videos of people getting tortured for fun. SOunds like hollywood to me. SOunds like a whole load of crap that were all supposed to swallow, so even if the war was bullshit, we wont feel too bad about it. There are countries out there that have actually seen hell. There are millions upon millions of people starving across the world. With so little food some children do not have enough strength to stand up. Baby's are dying every day because thier is not enough food. People are starving while Americans are eating themselves to death.....and we need to worry about Iraq???? Assuming the worst....at least they were eating. If out government cares about people so damn bad then why didnt they spend all of that war money on aiding these starving people? I think food would help a lot more than bombs.

If Sadaam such a bad guy, and our government actually cares, then why have we been good buddies with Sadaam since the 60's? There is no evidence that our close ties with Sadaam were ever broken. And anywyas, Sadaam was building schools, and firehouses for his people. THey were a wealthy nation with good recources. And the Bush "saved the day" by bombing the f#ck out of them, taking over thier country, putting it under military rule, and leaving the country in worse shape to begin with. God bless America.(and no one else)

Gamover, I think you hit the nail on the head. What Bush doesn't want us to see is all the pain and suffering that the Iraqi people are going through because of the U.S. Also, when we take Iraqi's civilians to Abu Gharib (civilized world my ass) how do you know they are innocent people? I'm willing to bet that most of the insurgents in Iraq are just trying to protect their families, their homes, and their lives.

Bush claims that these people are terrorists, 'thereby giving him the right to torture people'. I like how Bush calls it a "war on terror", so when he gets in trouble for calling it a war, he says it's just fighting terrorism, but when it's just fighting terrorism that causes him problems, he calls it a war. Bush really likes to use trickery to get what he wants...

Bush is helping to fight terrorism? I think not. He audastically dares terrorists to "bring it on". Looks like you're just war mongering to me. Oh wait, I'm sorry, terrorist mongering...? Why is that Bush fails to realise that the best way to stop terrorism is to stop bombing people's families and creating them from sadistic actions? Do you people realise that over 10,000 Iraqi civilians have been killed because of this war? I remember actually hearing an argument from somebody that- (I'll try and get the quote as close to as I can) "Fuck Iraq, they live like it's the stone age anyway. And why should you even be telling us what to do? You don't even live in the US." A 12 year old actually said this. I wish I were joking.

I remember Bush saying something like- "God is on our side". Yes, what better way to honor god than to kill a bunch of innocent people? 'God bless America, and if you don't, you're placed on the axis of evil!'

You know, I think Bush might bring peace to the world after all. When everybody hates us, it brings the world closer together. America is like the little kid in school who everybody hates because he bullies everybody. When he doesn't get what he wants, he starts crying and being an asshole about it. When people are playing kickball, he wants to take the ball and go play with it by himself.

\"Fuck Iraq, they live like it's the stone age anyway. And why should you even be telling us what to do? You don't even live in the US.\" A 12 year old actually said this. I wish I were joking. [/b]
We have propoganda action movies and propoganda news to thank for that. Iraq in the stone age??? They were a very wealthy people with very poulated cities and growth. And of course, not to mention, just because someones not like us, does not gice us a good reason to bomb them. THis kid probably heard it from his parents too.
