I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I was wondering if anyone else here or anyone they know does, and if so, to what degree do they have it.
Mines not bad, I just wash my hands a lot, and try and organize everything...

I do, I'm a counter. I like things in even numbers and things that are symmetric. I got it from my mom, like you she's obsessed with cleanliness, my brother does too.
Oh yea, I count steps on occasion. The organizing is usually by number, or color.
I have it badly... I do all the weird ritual shit and it sucks... I don't have the cleaning thing so at least I don't have to worry about that but having OCD sucks for WILDing...
well, i get in trouble ALOT for un-organization. its not that bad, if i was better organized id probably do better in school.....
edit: ps. no one likes dirty hands. or eating with hands after gone to the bathroom.... gross
I have some weird thing I do in the car always without realizing it. I don't remember how it started, but it just feels 'right'. What I do is try and line up objects that are passing by on the sidewalk (stop signs, poles, cars, people) with the corner of the windshield, and nod my head each time they intersect. Fortunately people just think I'm nodding my head to the music.
Another thing I do when I write, since my writing is usually pretty sloppy, I'll go over it twice or three times (as in, I'll write the word, then go back and write the same thing over top of it so it makes it all bolded). Then after I bold the word, it'll annoy me how out of place it is with everything else and I'll bold the whole sentence. Then I'll bold the whole paragraph. It sucks.
One night was really bad for me... It was 11 and I was about to go to sleep but then this rush of OCD energy went over me... I was touching things and doing random crap for 2 hours... Ugh, 1,000,000,047 is my number...
I had a guitar teacher with severe OCD. It caused a lot of major problems in his life.
i think i might have ocd with guitars... i think
This kid has OCD at my school. He said something about scratching a wall all night or something.
I do things in even numbers, preferably in four groups of two [eight is the magic number]. I touch the top corners of door openings, when I drink water from a fountain I count out four groups of eight, and then at a later time in the day go to the same fountain and drink another four groups of eight. I have a nightly routine which involves the flicking on and off of multiple light switches, I used to have a head twitch sort of, as I've gotten older it's been getting better.
I'm sure I missed a few of my quirks but it's all I can think of at the moment.
I had very severe OCD for a year, and not its virtually gone thanks to a technique i developed.
Your OCD thoughts are totally unconscious and you have no control over them, SO STOP TRYING TO MAKE THEM GO AWAY
They key is to take conscious control of your thoughts.
For example there are three types of thoughts: Positive thoughts ,neutral thoughts , and bad thoughts.
Your OCD thoughts are bad thoughts.
They keys is to manage them. For example your OCD thoughts will pop up randomly throughout the day, and you have no control over that.
What you have to do is replace those bad thoughts with good thoughts. For example I was really superstitious, and when ever I had a superstitious thought I forcefully would change the topic to something I find interesting like technology (PS3, blu ray, computers etc).
Once you keep doing this your OCD will slowly go away.
I had very severs OCD and I thought it would never go away, I can assure you that OCD is 100% treatable
whats your hobby that you cant get enough of? Sports, tech, science?
And no I would not continue touching the wall as your example, you gotta force your mind to change the subject.
you gotta force your mind to change the subject, the reason why people fail in curing there OCD is that they try to stop the thought completely, which is like moving around in quicksand
So if your hobby is a sports team for example, and you have an urge to "touch the wall" then quickly start thinking about your sports team, and things that interest you. Essentially your trying to replace the thought.
Steps:
1. Just dont care anymore. Forget about angling everything.
2. Now the OCD kicks in. :P
3. This is when you apply my technique of replacing thoughts.
So this is what would happen you get and urge to angle something, you say screw it I dont care. Then a really strong urge comes over you to angle the thing, then you start thinking I wonder how tall Kobe Bryant is, so you go online and check wikipedia to see etc etc.
Once you make a habit of this, your OCD will start to go away without you even knowing it. At first it will be hard.
Im living proof that OCD is 100% curable. THE BIG PICTURE is you want to take your mind off of your OCD.
I gotta go to sleep in the meanwhile you can watch this video

I got really annoyed the other night at this dinner event that my school jazz band was playing at...neither the tables nor the food platters were symmetric...I couldn't take it any more so I started warming up on my trumpet early.
Another day I was at the grocery store and I saw that a display was unbalanced so I fixed it.
I do the handwriting bolding thing too. I also have a lot of specific routines. I don't think I'm quite clinically OCD though. I only do the OCD stuff if I should happen to notice that something is off...and I can be rather unaware at times :P
