      Olympics

So who all is watching this year. Post your highlights and favorite moments and disapointments. My biggest disapointment is that the dream team isn't any good this year. I mean puerto rico??!!??

How bout Michael phelps. Anyone watch his race yesterday or today?

I've only watched some of the men's (yumyum) gymnastic yesterday (I think it was yesterday?). I felt so bad for them whenever they completely messed up and fell off the bar.

I had this weird dream where spiderman was competing. He was doing the pole vault, and everyone was like 'yeah, go spiderman!', so he's running really fast with the pole in his hand, and he starts going over the pole we he slips and falls to the ground and everyone is like 'oh no! Poor Spiderman'. He was disqualified, so he tried swimming, but as soon as he got int eh water, the plug from the bottom of the pole fell out and he was sucked down the drain.

Well, technically, we own Puerto Rico, so it isn't that bad.

I used to swim competetively myself so I'm always interested in swimming. When Michael Phelps did the 400 IM, there was no one challenging him! He was at least 5 body lengths ahead....and beating his own world record. The womens swimming was also fun to watch. Jenny Thompson could have done a little better, but she's also getting older; this is her 4th Olympic games. I watched a little bit of soccer, but I couldn't watch too much. And I'm not a fan of basketball, so I wasn't too crushed when the US basketball team lost.

EDIT: WYI, I'm so used to seeing ppl in swimsuits and speedos that I don't see a (not-) hot person in a tight suit, I just see a swimmer. Oh, and Latex caps are very uncomfortable for ppl who don't know.

      Good point

Misty May and her partner are awesome.
Michael phelps is sensational right now he is kicking there butts.
Yea i swim competively, altho i didn't this summer. But i got a good freestyle and a good backstroke, decent breast, and working on the butterfly.

I had a lucid dream yesterday in which I started to fly, but then decided to do something different, so I started webswinging. That was pretty fun, until I kind of lost my lucidity and some narrator said something like: "The only problem with webswinging is that its easy to run in into walls" then, eventhough I had a good course, I kind of got thrown into a third person point of view and saw myself crash into a wall and everything faded. That certainly was fun....

Anyway, I'm pissed at how badly the mexican soccer team is playing...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

I had to go with a big fat No on this one... Sports are so uninteresting to me, at least to watch on tv and stuff. The only thing I watched was some powerlifting stuff yesterday, but that was mainly because of my dads new 42" plasma tv, hehe

I watched some of the volleyball and all of men's synchronized diving today, whoo! I was disappointed when Russia and America lost, but the Greeks were sooooooooo happy when they won.. it brought tears to my eyes. So, I'm happy for them. I'm such a dork.

      That's on right now.

And yeah I tried joining the high school swim team but when I found out I had to shave my legs and show up at 5 am everyday for practice (including holidays) I was like hell no.

Course Evanecent probably likes the whole shaving his legs thing.

Don't men have the option though of wearing those full body suits instead of shaving? I know they do in the olympics, must be different for school though..
