Society of Scholastic Philanthropy

A'hoy hoy, I have decided to gives this a shot before I make any official website or anything of the sort. The concept of the Society of Scholastic Philanthropy is the essential idea of a study group - to help one another learn and enlighten one another over certain topics of interest. Of coures, I do not imagine there are many interested individuals on an information base such as the internet when pornography is the largest demographic.. but, it's worth a shot as I do not have many people (nearly none) that I can associate with about my studies. With this said, I would like anyone interested in joining this group to contact me in anyway possible (PMing is most likely the easiest) and see where it will go from there. Are there meetings or anything? No, just talking whenever help is needed. It is like having a phone book of people who are more-than-willing to help someone out with what they have studied in (myself being neuroscience and psychology with incidental studies in related topics such as philosophy and chemistry, etc.). Look forward to hearing from anyone, thank you.

That's a cool idea.. I'll contribute once I actually get some education out of college. My major studies at this point will be mathematics and languages/international business.

Going to be a junior and i dunno, maybe someone could give me some pointers perhaps especially since i am taking Pre-cal this year. I'm interested in Existentialism (Neitzche), the nature of free will and choice and philosophy in general. So if you're setting up a mesageboard I'd join it 8)

I don't know a thing about Neitzhe's existentialism but I have read Sarte and some Heidegger. It should be close right? Oh nightowl I took pre-cal, I might be able to help you.

With O'nus gone for a while maybe we can set up some kind of system so suprise him when he gets back. Skype is a good way to talk about these kind of things (especially math) since it's voice and everything.
