I think you need to define related to some distance back, I.E. I am related to a former U.S president whose name eludes me like a ridiculously distant way back in the family tree across cousins and all that. I wouldn't classify that as being related to someone famous lol

I got to sit in Formula 1 driver, Nigel Mansell's car, and even got held by him as a little kid. What else... My mum went to the same school as José Mourinho and was two years above him. Don't think I'm related family-wise to celebrities, but it is not something I put much weight on to anyways.

I'm directly descended from John Wilkes Boothe's brother (I don;t remember which at the moment), who happened to be a famous actor in his own right. I don't know if I'm closely related to anyone who is famous now.

Well, I'm not sure if Robert McKee would be considered "famous" or a "celebrity", but he's a great uncle of mine, who I have never spoken to, lol.

Hmmm...not related by blood...but my godbrother played for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Waaaay back. Passed away though. Oh, the other godbrother played Hockey too. Still does? No, I doubt it. I should probably find out.

Shows how often I talk to my extended family.

not related...but my boss is Chris Sharma..he's like the world champion of bouldering at the moment.

I also get to see and talk to pro. rock climbers all day every day!

I wouldnt go as far as to say i was friends with a celebrity, but i have been clubbing with Jodie Marsh a few times ( uk glamour model) Her cousin and I go to uni together, i club reguarly with her and a fair few times Jodie has met up with us.. she gets pretty bad press here, but shes a nice enough girl, never fails to buy her round in, so im happy.

My cousin was like best friends with and wrote songs for The Trews, a pretty popular Canadian band with hits like "Not Ready to Go" and "Tired of Waiting", but he died of cancer a year or two back. Also, I have cousins who used to have a band called The Rankins, who had a couple good hits back in the nineties, but then one of them died and they broke up. That's all I can think of....

Well, I'm decended from a brother of Daniel Boone.
Also I'm apparently descended from a Choctaw chief, but he wasnt really famous, and it may not even be true cuz it looks like someone went and trimmed a few branches off the ol' family tree, cuz you know how it was back in the 1800s, which really pisses me off.

Also apparently, a couple of family members married into Abe Lincoln's family, er something like that, blah blah blah.

But anyways, I went to school with a guy who played a small part in tha Huck Finn movie with Elijah Wood back in the early 90s. (okay, blah,blah,blah, too)

Yeah, and my godfather used to be really good friends with that guy who played the father in "A Christmas Story" cant remember his name. I never met him though.
