I mean really, would it work out as a relationship if he thought it fun to go kill something as a hobby.

Assuming the vegan woman in this case is not some pissy opinion factory.

only if she can take pot-shots at you with a rifle
fair's fair, 'n all
I'm sure it happens. What's the difference between a person that doesn't eat meat and a person that does eat meat, dating? Kinda that same thing. I don't exclude people from my life because they hunt or eat meat. If anything, I like the idea of sharing what I do with people that have never really though about it or don't get it. One of my girlfriends became a vegetarian after I did. And my boyfriend is forced to eat non-meat meals because I always make dinner, and he gushes about how good it is. That's a total win for me, I'm dating someone who eats meat and won't hesitate to order a steak at a restaurant, but because he's dating me, 5 days a week, 1 meal a day, he doesn't have meat. That makes me happy. If I only included vegetarians in my life, that would be stupid.
And my dad hunts!
But I hate him, so....
Anyway, people fall in love for reasons that don't involve their belief in what is ethical treatment of animals. It's just one part of life.
However, I would not live in a house with animal heads and fur rugs all over the place.
well as long as the guy doesn't eat what he's hunted, isn't it ok. He can leave the carcass for nature to take it's course.:P
It depends on what kind of vegan usually doesn't it? Some vegans think hunting is perfectly natural...and their problem is not with hunters but with those who grow animals specifically to kill, the cattle farming biotches.
i mean the Vegan is against eating meat right, so if the Hunter kills the animal but doesn't actually take it home and cook it, he leaves it for the foxes, wolfs, insects etc to eat it then that's a good middle ground.;)
Acvtually, that is the ultimate in hunting for sport (Edit: this is a bad thing). In my experience, vgetarians or vegans somehimes don;t mind others hunting, as long as they don;t waste the meat. (interestingly enough, with a more openminded, less "oh, don;lt kill the poor animal" view than many people I know who eat meat fromn cattle bred, sedated, and chunk'd in the head in order to provide ingradients for places that sell food).
As for if it would be okay for a vegan to date a hunter, it's really up to personal opinion. I don;t know of any vegan code that says "thou shalt not associate with anyone who kills animals, even for food."
anybody that only trophy hunts, has no intention of using the meat is simply a disgrace.
I can not expect to be friends with anybody that throws around judgemental and hateful opinions no matter what the subject.
I can not help to feel that at some point, the hunter partner is going to feel a bit uncomfortable that other is a vegan if such a firm believer against the consumption of animal products.

But on the other hand, why would this matter at all? two can make a relationship work.
meat eater and dating a vegan may/may not be a challenge, but I'd give it a shot. was that pun intended? perhaps
Can a racist date a non-racist? I suppose so.
Can a serial killer date an accountant? I suppose so.
No, just no. The universe won't allow it.
I hate vegans they are sooo annoying
Im SURE though, that there are people who do this. I can think of at least one person that I worked with, and she just pushed the idea too much, and talked about it too much, to the point where I (being a vegetarian myself) didnt even want to listen to her. I could see her having a problem with this. And thats fine. Maybe its difficult for people like her to deal with that or whatever.
Of course individuals do this, there just doesn;t seem to be any sort of code requiring all vegans to do so. Which I'm glad of, for several reasons (the most prominent beign that holier-than-thou-because-you-eat-dead-animals attitude is freaking anoying, it's the vegans that are against cruelty to animals that are cool.)
if the vegan loves the hunter because of who he is, and not what he does, then it shouldnt matter. if my friend turned out to be a heroin addict, and was still the same nice chill person that he always wass, I would still be friends with him although i would be like wtf dude why ar eyou doing heroin?
Please don't necropost!
