hmm i'm not sure, it's believable in a way but after the initial strike that main bolt stayed there for like the last 15 seconds of the vid unchanging.... not sure if it's fake or not.

Well I have read that lightning actually races up and down the main bolt, numerous times, before it dissipates, and that looks like what's happening in the vid. I'm not sure though, because, if anything, it's those initial, fringe bursts that look too awesome to be real. Haha.

That's pretty sweet but it does look somewhat 'doctored' beyond just slowing it down. Puts mine to shame, either way:

The only thing that's keeping me from completely believing that it was doctored, is the high-speed camera work that I've seen lately, watching bullets and shells fly out of guns and tanks, so slow, that you can actually see the shock wave trailing behind them. It's amazing to me that cameras can even track shit that fast. And I've never seen lightning through a camera that fast, so I can't count out that the vid is authentic...but it just looks so damn unbelievable, though. Haha.

Here's a pretty cool one, too.

You don't even need to bother. Now that we've seen the fart video, the lightning strike will be very lacking in comparison, to say the least.

That first one looks extremely fake. The lighting doesn't change at all in the foreground objects, and simply looks doctored.

The other two look far more realistic, and you can see it in how the lighting dynamically affects the surrounding surfaces.
