Ugh, i woke up this morning with blood all over me

When I was younger, i used to have this bloody nose problem. I got them frequently, sometimes they just happened for no reason and other times because of the weather. I went to the doctor about it and he fixed it. Bloody noses were rare very from then on.

Just this morning i woke up due to something wet on my face(nose). I just thought i had a runny nose(weird because its summer), and i just wiped it off. To my surprise it was blood and it got a good portion of my pillow enough to be labeled as ruined. Luckily I always have a box of tissues right by me.

i dont understand why i got one though, especially during sleep -_-

anybody got any ideas why i got one? Im dont think it was the heat since my AC had been on all-night and when turned off by my parents in the morning, my room stays relatively cool for a couple of hours.

Anyway, just felt like sharing

happened to me a day opr two ago. I dont know. I get random bloody noses too. Not every day, week, or month, but enough to say it happesn soemwhat regularly. Every few months or so. I dont know anything about the medical reasons for this. Unless you're snorting coke, then that's anopther story completely.

Gameover, that's the same way with me. All of mine are in my right nostril, but my doctor said it is just puberty (bs). It's scary waking up with blood everywhere :(

DOctors can be real idiots sometimes. Of course it could be peuberty since peuberty messes with a million things...but how does he know that? Well...the nosebleeds suck, but thiers enough distance between them for me not to really care or worry.

that sucks gameover. I think you should go see a doctor about it then(not sure which one) and death, go see a different doctor thats not a moron. no i dont do drugs :P

When i was like 9-12(cant remember >_<) i went to some doctor to fix my bloody noses. He swabed something with his cotton stick thing, stuck it up my nose(which stung like a bee) and then no more bloody noses for years later.

BTW, only blood comes out of my right nostril as well : D

Nah..its happened my whole life. Just a few times a year, no big deal. And if it kills me...well then, thats just a funny way to go.

Yes, that would be a funny way to die. I'd rather die by a stab-wound from a toothpic though, or nail clippers (as the airlines so regularly suggests)

Apparently waking up in the night with a nosebleed means you may of had an alien abduction. Lots of abductionees (for want of a better word), have this problem. I read that in a book somewhere.

O_o...well it happened sometime early in the morning :?

theres this show called "the 4400" where all these ppl got abducted and then they would get mad and stuff would break and their noses would bloody up.... i dunno just a thought

maybe i activated my powers hehe :P

nightowl, you mentioned the AC was on...AC dries out the air, correct? Perhaps dryness could have caused it?

Well...you see..i turn on my AC every night and around 6 my mom comes into my room and shuts it off...i remember waking up somewhat and watching her turn it off..i dozed back to sleep..anyway my room stays cool for a couple of hours if the door is closed(and my mom said she closed it)...I suppose though that you are right and my nose couldve been try but ive done this almost everynight with the AC and i got no nose bleed..i guess i shuold be much careful next time :(

hmm, nose bleeds are strage. i've never had a nose bleed. ever.

I've never had anything like that before either. It must be surreal to wake up with a blood-soaked pillow. :| I'd laugh if you woke up to find yourself with a bloody pillow, then you turn over and there's a dead sacrificial goat lying next to you. You'd be all like "Oh my god! I've sacrificed a goat to Satan in my sleep!"

Wow, that's exactly what happened to me a few months ago. I also just thought it was just snot or something, so it was a while before I got myself cleaned up. I get random bloody noses about once a year on average.

I never had that experience before but I can imagine it'd be pretty freaky.

I used to always used to get 4 hour nose bleeds that turned out to be the result of an allergy to chocolate.

Luckily though, I outgrew the chocolate allergy :)
