Not to detract from Shareaza, which is pretty good, but I prefer ed2k network, as it's the 2nd largest p2p network worldwide (right under kazaa/fasttrack).

"Kazaa Lite K++ 2.5.6 E" just came out, which is the continuation of the original K-Lite, but its getting bloated.
"K-Lite v2.6 RC 22" is based off a newer client (2.6 instead of 2.02), so you'll prolly have better luck with this one.
"Clean KMD" kinda sucks, I prefer the other two I just mentioned. :-P
Bearshare has some ads but it's also pretty good
bearshare installs adware on your computer.
and shareaza is THE best p2p network out there. it contacts morpheus edonkey emule as well as its own shareaza network.
so when you search for something you search all those p2p networks listed above. very usefull.

Sorry, forgot about the adware on bearshare - For the last while when I format my drive (I have Windows on the C Drive and everything else on D - it's partitioned) I've left all the programs on the D drive and so don't need to reinstall bearshare. When it's done like that there's no spy/adware...But yeah, it does install weathercast and that stupid Save program...Both can easily be removed.

I'm a little put off that the second window in the installation has a little blurb about 'information collection', but I'm sure I'm being data mined anyway by something. :P
I also hate how they make it nearly impossible to read the end user lisence agreement. I don't have time to read five pages of legal information wherein some little section may say that they have the right to access your computer. I just have to click 'I Agree' and hope that they don't hack me. :)

respect to the Service, Mercora may terminate any Support it provides at any time in its *

Authorized third-party software that uses the Service is not supported by Mercora and *
you should contact the provider of such software for support, if any.
12. TERMINATION/ACCESS RESTRICTION
Unless you, or a third party on your behalf, have entered into a separate written *
agreement with Mercora that modifies these Terms of Use, Mercora reserves the right, in *
its sole discretion, to terminate your access to and use of the Service or any portion *
thereof at any time, without notice. Also, unless you or a third party on your behalf have *

I've downloaded it again. Going to try it out now.
i have been using kazaa v6.2 and it often pisses me off so i went and downloaded khack so as to make up for the loads of unnesicaary shit that kazaa places on my computer... i also edited the perfect nav shit that data mines up the yin-yang.... the way i edited it stoped it but left the "program" so kazaa could tell it was still there :D..... i think i will try some of these other sites soon though, i have been needing a new file sharing program from teh moment i downloaded kazaa....
It could be you went to the wrong site. Lots of wannabees (heh) have made sites like sharaza.com, shareeaza.com, etc, in the hope you type it wrong and download their crappy stuff.
