No I just met a really disturbed person who lied to a drug dealer and wanted to make it look like it was my fault. Btw I don't hang out with drug dealers and the like it just happened.

I've never had a tooth that chipped that bad before, but when I did have a chipped tooth I used to cover it with my tongue when drinking liquids. As for the food, I always tried to get them away from the tooth, cutting up the food right now sounds like your best bet.

Further to what JustinnitsuJ was saying, perhaps use a straw when you're drinking liquids so that it avoids your tooth altogether?

I would say that it is really important to go to the dentist. And I usually hate the kinds of people who makes these posts but how much longer till you can go? because any longer than a week or so, I would go at almost any cost. Or sue his ass!

Not much you can do about eating with it. Just be glad it does not hurt all the time; in which case Anbesol and Advil are your best friends. If it gets to the point where you have to take this stuff for more than two days, go get it pulled (or fixed if you are filthy rich).

In any case, if you want to keep the tooth you have to get it fixed right away before it starts to decay. The decaying process can actually make the pain go away, even for years, but in the long term you will lose the tooth when it becomes infected. You might have better luck posting a question on some sort of "ask a dentist" online forum. Google for one.

Take some ibuprofen?

Man i'm glad i live in England, people always bashing the NHS for not being efficient enough but shit it's free health care! ( well ok paid for by peoples taxes but still one night there would be like a couple hundred £ by the sounds of the american system)

Usually a person without health insurance can be puking blood in the waiting area before a doctor would see them...

I caught an extension bar in the mouth while messing with a car, which snapped my tooth. I fixed it with superglue. I hate dentists..

That's nothing... I peformed open heart surgury on myself while removing a malignant tumor, I put everything back together with superglue. I hate surgeons

err, wait until you actually work for a living. a dentists is not a hospital (i.e. not "free").
