So I had a slightly less than brilliant idea yesterday. I thought to myself, "Hey; a simple way to invest my money in case of cataclysmic economic crash is to just get some money in the form of those gold dollar coins. Gold will always be worth something!" |

157 is a prime number. The next prime is 163 and the previous prime is 151, which with 157 form a sexy prime triplet. Taking the arithmetic mean of those primes yields 157, thus it is a balanced prime.

Instead, put that ten dollars in an envelope in a safe box every month, and when you have enough, go buy a gold ingot. |

Wow.... I'm a little stunned. I mean, at the false advertising of the coins. Silver coins ARE actually silver though, right? I wonder why in the hell they'd choose to call any coin that isn't gold a 'gold dollar coin'. Makes me want to start calling my unleaded gas DIESEL instead to see what kind of profit I can make on the difference if I sold it.. I'd get taken to court eventually, and be tempted to use this: "I don't see what the problem is. The federal government made it OK when they started selling us fake gold." |

There are actual gold bullion coins that you can purchase from the US Mint, but they are several hundred dollars a piece. They even have platinum coins if you had enough money to go in that direction and a way to get them. They're not for public purchase (so they say). Here's a little more information: http://www.usmint.gov/mint_programs/..._eagle_bullion |
