to pick a penny off the ground?
Why don't they just find something usefull for these things/
So when you see a penny do you pick it up for good luck?
Does anyone really go to buy something and ends up like.. one penny short
If not a penny what would you stop and pickup, 5 cents, a quarter?
I purposely drop unwanted change on the ground. Don't ask me why, I'm abnormal. :(
Maybe a quarter, but not a penny. If I picked up a penny I'd lose it before I spent it.
I have a friend who does though. He picks up every penny he sees, even if he has to go out of his way to get it. He even opens up his door and picks up change at the drive-thru.
I'm the one who drops them, so that people will pick it up feel lucky & hopefully get a grin.

I know coins in circulation are not really any better, but it is only a penny...
I'll pick up pennies if they're right in front of me and I'm not in some crowded hallway or sidewalk. I'll pick up most other coins any time. Imagine how many coins you've seen in your life.
I also hide coins at places I go to a lot. Every year, at this park thing I go to every year, I hide 20 pennies and some quarters. About half of them are gone the next year.

I find it really annoying when I'm a few pennies short of something I want. This is a situation that comes up regularly. For instance, right now I own one pound. But most of it is in pennies.
A penny, with the current value of the dollar, is still worth about 1/1000th of nothing in Europe. I also don't pick up 5 (euro) cent pieces. 10 euro-cents I would pick up, I think, because the are FUCKING MADE OF GOLD :banana:(yellow material).

I have some sort of radar when it comes to coins on the ground. I don't ever use them, but it's a fun, short little sidetrack when I'm walking home from school or someting.
I actually only pick up pennies if they are heads up so I didn't vote in the poll.
I used to have a big piggy bank filled with all types of change. It ended up having like $100 lol. My mom made me put most of in my college savings though lol.
Imagine if you had every penny that's on the ground, that'd be a shit load of money!
I always pick up the pennies, but I typically lose them.:lol: Doesn't stop me though...
More fun to epoxy them to the floor and watch people try to pick them up.
Oh but to answer the question, no, they're not worth the zinc and copper they're made of (literally).
i pick 'em up most of the time...mostly if they are on heads for good luck...i have so many superstitions...i could be a captain of a ship!
