      I love google. If you have ever read about google they use the shittiest PCs possible and they use PCs that most people would have thrown away long ago. What they do is they just get a massive amount of shitty computers to preform tasks that can be replaced and they heavily use load balancing. Its very interesting how they are able to do so much with so little.

      well, 10 years ago, a dual PII 300MHz machine /w 512Mb ram wasn't shit
      It wasn't super-computer material, granted
      but it was decent, off the shelf, server hardware for the time
      Bear in mind, Google started out as a research project in Stanford University

      plus, that quad processor IBM PowerPC must have been like shit off a shovel

      different story now-a-days though
      this is just one of Google's data centres today
