      my programs

i have no clue what is wrong it has worked fine one every computer i have done it on the have to have windows xp to do it too.
      i will be right back

ok on my computer there has not been any problem with them so i think that it is just you and your comupter.
and i did say you had to have windows xp to do it or you would get a message saying "DLL file cannot be found" and then the program would not run.
you can't do that on the internet!.... wait yes you can do it again!

One thing that really annoys me is how people make something in visual basic and call it "Computer Programming". >:(

Little bastard, I can't even delete the fucking file! And every single time I go into the download destination folder if the program is in sight it freezes the computer and says "Doc. Watson something is not responding and is blah blah blah" It didn't do that AT ALL before I downloaded your fucking thing, now you must be deliberately messing with me or you have something seriously wrong with your pc! I have scanned my pc with a virus checker and it hasn't found anything so it must be written down in the code of your fucking program and I'm PMing Seeker about this right now to see if I can get you banned as I don't want anyone else's PC's being infected.

It's not a virus; and to be oidnest with you Finde you are really quite the opposite of a computer expert. On my computer, it simply fails to start up and spits out an error message.

Kaniaz, I actually know a lot about computers it's just I know the stuff about computers that is the opposite to what you talk about.

And your computer is different to mine, I have visual basic but it ran and then started giving me stupid error messages and freezing my PC at least 10 times making me have to restart about 8!!!!!

Note Dr. Watson is in fact a debugger program. The program has crashed. It is not a virus. It it simply bad programming, which is sadly something you find in every Visual Basic program. Of course I don't need to tell you this because it's the opposite of what I normally talk to you about. :)

No Kaniaz, that's not the opposite of what you talk to me about, and no it only stops like that whenever I even right click the program to delete it >

It might not be a very good language to write efficient applications in but it's good for beginners to learn some basics. It's also the language I started in (almost, actually started in VBA).

What does the program in question actually do?
Perhaps someone could have a look at the source code, unless you feel possessive of it , docthory ? (I understand if you dont want to give out hard work, etc)

If it wasn't intentional, then its quite unusual for it to affect your other programs.

Just a thought ... it seems the only person who has got it to actually run on XP was Finde... and he's the one with the problem.
You sure this worked okay on other XP machines, docthory?

As for the question of Visual Basic... yes its a 'Easy Peasy Wuss' language, but it gets the job done. The job being 'making computer programs easily and fast'.
Sure its not as fast or stable (not that bad actually). But thats the cost of it

Consider it a language on top of a language (Which it was originally - interpreted. Yes, I know its no longer interpreted, but the language came out of the basic (pun ) premise of interpreted code)

You use loads of emoticons Placebo. One minute you're all like, unsure, then you're winking and then grinning like a lunatic. Must have mood swings or something. :P

*has an unfinished insult thingy which works well*

I had to get Finde to delete that file using a program manager that comes with borland delphi. I would have got him to use the command prompt, but meh. My guess is, Finde's computer is kind of sucky, and the program was sloppily coded.
