hahahahahahahah!!! haha!! Whew..ok, no we have the exact same situation is you really, it's Labour Party or Conservative party, Liberals get a slice of vote but they were last in power..oh I dunno.. like 100 years ago! Since they fused with another small party and began Liberal Democrats in 1987 they haven't won. usually they come third behind the two major ones, I think they may have done worse before though.
We have loads of smaller parties but realistically they don';t have a chance. The one gaining most support in recent years, i think mainly off the terrorist scares is unfortunately the British National Party, my uncle is a member, basically a bunch of racists, some pretty damn extreme ones are members too, they say things as:
When asked in 1993 if the BNP was racist, its deputy leader Richard Edmonds said, "We are 100 per cent racist, yes"
Founder John Tyndall proclaimed that "Mein Kampf is my bible"
Now their trying to sound softer to get more votes from the very people they hate, atm their trying to work with extremist Sikh groups to attack Islam, which they hate the most, but their anti-homosexual to not just religion ans race. A phrase sometimes associated with them sometimes is: " There ain't no black on the Union Jack", not sure when it was said exactly but i assume by a high up member.
The Labour party has been in power for 11 years and although things look bad for Gordon Brown because of the world economy problems(current Prime Minister) I think they will still win the next election, which I don't think is till 2010 anyway unless it's forced to be earlier.
...well there's your lesson in how it works across the pond, lol.
