America just spewed 10% or whatever of its GDP into the banking system and you're still concerned about the 0.00001% they give to Africa? |

The planet Earth exhibits all of these properties and therefore can be considered alive and its own single organism by the scientific definition.does the planet Earth reproduce, well no unless you count the moon.7. Reproduction: The ability to produce new organisms.
well sorry for caring about what my country does, for fuck-sake somebody should!!! we do need all the money and help we can get. |

Yes, America needs help and money. Poor little America. |
|
aorozco, it's curious to me that with ALL the countries that the US is bailing out financially.. you're only concerned with the money spent on helping Africa. |

If you want to blame our debt problem, don't focus your anger on Africa. I have to stand with clairity in asking why you specified Africa over all the other places we hand money to. In my opinion Africa needs financial support the most. Of course there are strategic advantages as well. Focus your attention on this administration-- Bush and Congress. Under this presidency over 4 trillion dollars have been added, pushing our national debt over 10 trillion. But at least we got to fight a just war, right? |
|
Africa doesn't need money most, it needs regime changes. Anybody can see that... look at Zimbabwe. Africa has the materials it needs to develop, just not the bureaucracy. |

Maybe she's white. |

....This is quite possibly one of the most aggravating statements I've ever read. |

uuuummm first off, i would love to help the poor starving african children but guess wat, sending africa money isn't doing anything but empowering the corrupt government. the children don't see that money, so if you wanna get pissed because i don't support corrupt regimes fine. but the worst thing that can be done is to give more foreign aid to african nations. foreign aid goes from government to government. foreign aid allows africa's corrupt regimes to buy military equipment, pay off cronies and continue to oppress their people. it also provides resources for its leaders to set up "retirement" accounts in swiss banks. what africa needs, foreign aid cannot deliver, and that's elimination of dictators and socialist regimes, establishment of political and economic freedom, rule of law and respect for individual rights. until that happens, despite billions of dollars of foreign aid, africa will remain a basket case. it's like pouring wine into a cracked glass, wasteful and just plain stupid. i do think about other wasteful things done by our government, i am not ignorant, this one just pisses me off more. |
|
oh, sorry. |
|
In a way she is right about most of money and food going to military equipment and to the most powerful person in the country. Alot of the countrys in Africa we give foreign aid to and we don't regulate end up using the supplies for their own means. Although when we do spend time to regulate the shipping and distribution it gets to the right people and not sold back to the people for high rise profit. |

You should educate yourself about countries you might never afford to visit. Your sentiments on Africa are based solely on what your media feeds you, have you not learnt to not be so naive? This is not meant to offend you, I'm above that; it's sad to see blatant ignorance on public display. |
|
Even if you lost 98% of what you have in the USA, you'd still have more than nearly every Subsaarian African. |
|
Saying quantum physics explains cognitive processes is just like saying geology explains jurisprudence.
Well, we won't see that happen for a while. At least not until we stop taking out loans/bonds to pay off loans/bonds. We are in it to deep now to employ Clinton economics or Reagenomics or what-have-you. |
