One thing that sucks though, is local elections. I didn't have any information on any of them except for my state senator and my assemblywoman. I pretty much blind voted based on some (very viscious) attack ads I'd seen recently.
I didn't know where/how to find information about them.

I'll second that; it applies doubly to local elections for judges, city council, zoning issues and the like that get no or little exposure in the media. Also depending on your location you may be able to go to your board of elections website and obtain a sample ballot well ahead of time to do your research.

Had an easy time voting in Ohio this afternoon, I was in and out in 15 minutes. Some of my coworkers went first thing in the morning and waited in line over an hour, though.

If you don't know who they are vote with the party that holds your beliefs more. I voted dems for everything except for one republican i know who supports the bill of right.

Oh yeah? So is your mom. D:<

But seriously. If you think your vote isn't worth enough, then convince everyone in your posse to vote, too (because you can't make political decisions on your own).

Voting for a representative is highly significant.

If you want your voice in the election to be heard, ultimately you must be politically active. I went to a meeting for my rep. once. That is the difference between being one voice in twenty million, and 1 in twenty.

Well I'm a Republican and a Dem. won...... Oh well.... I just hope Obama doesn't mess up. I'm just worried about his experiance and his socialist views the most. Other than that congrats on our almost first black president.
