Only two presidents have bee impeached.
Presidents Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton. Nixon would have surely been impeached if he had not resigned first.
Both Johnson and Clinton were acquitted of their charges.
Impeachment is referring to public officials. I think that is what makes it different from that an ordinary crime against a civilian.

In my own words it is like a dishonorable discharge from the army.

To deliberately take action against the constitution of the United states would be reason for Impeachment to me. Treason banging your secretary etc etc.

Impeachment simply means to accuse a public officer of a crime. It's often confused with removal. Johnson and Clinton were both impeached, but neither was removed.

A few other have tried to been impeached, but never got there. Nixon resigned before he could be impeached for Watergate. Reagan was saved by North for the Iran-Contra mess. Tyler was saved by dumb luck that there was a congress change while he was in office for... I don't remember. Bush was saved by Gonzolez for his war crimes.

I'm confused as to why. Those aren't opinionated questions Literally two presidents have been impeached.

I'm not really sure, it is just what I'm being told to do. It is probably the same as the point of asking what was the last state to be added to the united states, just to see how many people do or do not know the answer.

Impeachment is the process of removing someone from a public office.

Bill Clinton, Andrew Johnson

Neither were found quilty, it's always noted that Nixon resigned to avoid impeachment.

"high crimes and misdemeanors" hmmm, Something betraying the trust of the country or some office.. Could be a lot of things.
