Or...instantaneously, while doing something epic, much later in life.

I want to die sometime when I'm atleast like fifty or sixty, hopefully older, by an act of heroism, like jumping in front of a bullet to save a kid or going into a reactor core filled with microwaves to stop my evil twin brother. That'd be pretty kick ass.

i would like to die an old man, but in good shape.

but if i was told that i was going to die tommorow, i would skydive without a parachute.

This whole thing seems a bit silly.

Whenever that will be, I'd have it no other way.

If I was told I'm going to die tomorrow, I'd tell that person who told me that he/she is lying!

I'd like to die doing something I love, not before I get great grandchildren. Also from something other than natural causes.

Ok...so...attempted poetry aside...if you had a choice of getting into a horrific car accident - caused by some drunk asshole - and being impaled by your steering column, left trapped inside the wreckage for some 12 hours, and then slowly being burned alive after sparks eventually ignited your gas tank...

or..putting on one of those wingsuits and soaring over the Alps for a good 15 minutes, in some of the most exhilarating recreation of your life...and then haphazardly smacking against the face of a rock protrusion at full speed, dying instantly...you wouldn't have a preference?

If I had the pleasure of deciding my future self's death it would be what Oneironaut illustrated (not the car crash).

Being a misanthrope, pessimistic and a generally depressing person even I would like to see where humanity goes from now. Seeing people, who are supposedly on the top scientists, starting singularity universities, where they'll teach how to defend from rouge, evil, "terminator" AI, about nanobots and other sci-fi stuff ; then predicting all the futuristic scenarios to start around 2030, makes even me want to stick around and watch it all happen.

So I guess I'll be jumping off the Alps as late as possible. If they actually succeed, perhaps not for a long time.

WHen I was young I saw a documentary about when flying cars would be readily available to the general public... I counted up the years and found I'd have to live to be 120.
It's stuck, and I want to live at least that long I'd like to die on my birthdate (a perfect cycle)
I want to know when I'm going to die of natural causes. I would venture off into a wilderness area (preferrably an island of Hawaii or Alaska) a month in advance to be alone. I would pass away in my sleep and let nature consume me.

I have a phobia about being declared dead and going through embalming alive. That's thanks to a 20/20 show I saw on that exact subject when I was young.
I would rather be eaten by wild animals.

As for how I would like to die; it would be sacrificing my life for that of a small child's (the ultimate act of heroism). I would also like it to be caught on video to be displayed on Goldney Day (My act of extreme heroism would be so damn heroic I'd have a national holiday specifically designed to celebrate my heroiscism*, oh yeah).


*That's right, I make up words on occasion

I can tell you how I don't want to die. I don't want to die like Kenneth Pinyan (a.k.a. Mr. Hands.)
