I'm 16 and I'm going to get a car this summer. I have the choice to which car I'm able to get. Right now I'm thinking about a '09 Ford Mustang (Auto). I'm open up for any ideas that you might have for me.

Get this.
Haha. there's no way i'm gonna get that!
well im not sure what your price range is but i do like the new audi a4, i think its in the mid 350's a month for the lease, and the new nissan altima coupe coupe pretty nice as well, why dont you post some more information such as your price range, do you want more luxury v sport, and ill try to help you
My price range is $20,000 - $22,000 and I'm more attracted to the sports cars.
Damn spoiled rich kids. I hope you wrap that new car around a pole.
Now why would you say something like that just because you didn't have the opportunity of having a new expensive car doesn't mean you should take it out on others. Don't blame. Anyone except your parents. If you were rich you wouldn't want the best for your kids, and if you say no you shouldn't be a parent
If you get a Ford Mustang, do yourself a favor and get a vintage '69 with manual transmission. If you're dead set on a new model, still get a stick shift. A muscle car with an automatic transmission is like a computer with an automatic mouse.
If you don't know how to drive a five-speed, learn. You need this skill to be a man.
I think the obvious answer is the Tata Nano.
Fuckin' kids who don't have to work towards getting a car.
Let me guess, you don't have to pay for gas or insurance either. ;)
I find it amazing!! Do you guys really learn to drive Auto's only? Or just prefer auto's generally? Here we all take manual (stick shift) driving tests, and most drive a manual anyway. I would prefer auto only because my knee if buggered from too much football and snowboarding that my daily commute (2.5 hours) sometimes takes it out of me.

Nah, just kidding. I second that Mustang notion.
I dont even have a permit yet, and I am almost 17.
I can drive a stick.
(Sometimes I take it for a spin down the road lol)
Guys he might have saved up his money from a job or something.
I would get a shitty looking car, that drives perfectly. lol
Old guy down the street. Just don't let him look when you bend over to check the tire pressure.
If you're looking for speed or power then the mustang would be a good choice (get one with a stick though)
If you're looking for cool or ecofriendly get a Prius (also with a stick)
If you're looking for redneck, get a pickup truck (> 30 years old) :P
Unless you plan to have your mom and dad pay your insurance for the next 6-8 years, I'd advise against getting a mustang as your first car. Also, just think about how expensive it would be if you crashed it.
I'm assuming you meant "would want the best".
The best does not equal something that is good for aesthetic purposes. The best is something that is economic, protects the individual well, is reliable, AND is affordable by the teen when mommy and daddy cut his funding.
I'm paying for my own gas and I'll get a job sometime soon and I'm not sure about the insurance. I've had a job and saved some money before but quit because I had a busy schedule for the school year.
You can't go wrong with a Mustang. I personally drive an 03' GT stick...it's a blast. I know this will probably draw a lot of flack, but the deep rumble of a V8 can never be replaced by the angry squirrel sound of a four cylinder (plus, most imports are front wheel drive, also known as wrong wheel drive). Get the Mustang! :goodjob:
It's not even the fact that rich spoiled kids are spoiled so much, it's that they'll never learn how to fucking work for something.
Most little rich kids live under mommy and daddy's trust fund.
Look, I'm not poor. My father worked real hard to get us the nice house and stuff we own today. But my $600 HD TV? Payed for it myself. My Xbox 360 and all my games? Payed for it myself. Gas, insurance, all that jazz? Payed for it myself.
Just because you're rich doesn't mean you should learn how to be dependant.
why do you make assumptions, how do you know that they are dependent? If you were rich, you wouldnt complain, just because your not in their shoes, you have to be envious of their fortune, maybe if mommy and daddy became a doctor, or a lawyer then you wouldnt be whining, like i said you should be angry at your parents for not providing you, rather than hating on others people fortune. Snobby rich kids is one thing, but just being rich and providing their kids, there is nothing wrong with that. What do you expect rich people to do with their money, obviously they will support their kids and provide them with the best they can.
I'm thinking since you're 16 years old, and you're a male, you should piss off with the sports cars unless you want an insurance rate that will tear you a new asshole.
Get something cheaper than $20,000. Get something used.
If you get a sports car, you're going to have a high insurance bill. And if you happen to wreck that car and total it out, it's just going to go up higher.
My first car was an '04 Mustang, I paid 2,000 a year for insurance for it. I wrecked and totaled it out, now I have an '01 Ram that I pay $3,000 a year for insurance on.
Also, you said you don't know about insurance.. if you get a newer vehicle you need full coverage for sure. If you get something older you'd get liability. It'd be dumb if you got an '09 Mustang and didn't get full coverage for it.
Seriously what you should do is wait.
Buy a used car for a few grand for now. Pay for it yourself.
That way in 2.5-3 years have your parents buy you the badass sports car when you graduate.
Also I'm surprised you're not getting a Ferrari Enzo.
Haha. Ferraris are too much. And I can't wait longer than late summer this year because I'm going to use it to get to school and work and hanging out with friends. My dad doesn't want me to get a used car. I told him that I'm willing to get a used car but he wants it to be a new one since I'll be taking it to college, etc. I'm not that rich, geez calm down it's not my fault you have to pay for everything yourself.
