      Mis-heard Lyrics

      I have had Kelly Clarkson's song "Life would suck without you" stuck in my head for days.
      I knew I had some of the lyrics wrong though so I looked them up:

      "Guess this means you’re sorry
      You’re standing at my door
      Guess this means you take back

      Like how much you wanted
      Anyone but me

      I always sing the last 2 lines as
      "You got a piece of pie
      With heaven on the side"

      rofl!!

      Mostly death and black. The others are usually easier to hear, though I have certainly butchered some Slayer lyrics.

      Whenever I want to sing along with a song I look up the lyrics to make sure I get it right...I particularly need to do it when the lyrics get poetic.

      I know I do it all the time...but one time when I was younger my cousins and I were having a sing a long together to a britney spears song and my younger cousins busts out

      "And she cries cries cries in her lonely box thinking
      If there is nothing missing..."

      It was supposed to be heart, and that made me lul.

      I know my mother doesn't ever understand the meanings of lyrics. She'll sing along with songs that are talking about really nasty stuff and then someone points it out to her and she becomes really embarrassed.
