I don't pay monthly fees for games.
Dude so many people are gonna die of exhaustion from this. It's like what happened with the first Evercrack.
Haha, well, I have been playing MMORPGs for 5 years now. I should be fine... The only thing I worry about is school. I am skipping today if I can get my copy. But, I already have a 4.0. I only really want a 3.0.
I'm not.
Me neither. Have other things to do/play.
Must mean that you'd rather have a life. :roll:Quote:

I'm not. But my brother and I did get back into the old Evercrack--I mean, Everquest--after three years. You can find me on Rodcet Nife as either Ellifayne or Kemene.
These games create an entire parallel reality imo. That's why they are so addictive, a world just for you where you can become powerful and popular regardless of real life obstacles. I want to play all of them, but sadly time, money and guilt prevent this. But yeah, go for it Crucible, hehe make the Dream Views guild
whoa imagine a dv guild in the matrix online, since ld's and matric are so similar, cool
id prefer to get FFIX but if it doesnt work out, ill move to evercrack II
Then you can help me out a bit ;)
world...of...warcraft....
*passes out from lack of sleep caused by open beta*
Did anyone ever hear about that incident with the first Everquest? I wonder if anything like that will happen with the second one...?
What incident was that???
In relation to MMORPG's ive heard of people losing and gaining incredibel amounts of weight, from not eating and binging on snacks. Bleeding from the rectum, or getting an open wound in that area from sitting too much. Other minor shit like losing grades and friends ect.
someone died of too much everquest no sleep, same with counter strike
Someone died!! holy crap
How do you die but, wouldn't it get to the point of being so uncomftorable you have to lie down or something???
*shrug* i heard something like that... perhaps it was just the counterstrike guy that just died playing to much. but evercrack causes lotsa bad thigns though.

Evercrack causing suicide,

Evercrack causing negligence
just a quick google on the subject.
People dying of addiction to video games, I'm officially worried.
( Is anyone getting Halo2? It's sort of the same thing I hear )
I don't like Evercrack, I bought it when I was young an naive, those bastards have a monthly fee and I was unaware of their pussification. I don't give a squirrel's rectum about Evercrack II either, I'll play stuff that's free everyone once in a while, but not Evercrack... Never Evercrack.
I was into EverQuest when it first came out. Haven't played in about two years. Its just got too big and wasn't fun anymore. I dont think I will get EQ2 (actually I know I wont)! Anyway.. I played on Fennon Ro but that doesn't matter now.
Oh yeah I heard of a marrage splitting up because of Evercrack... I often skipped work to play! So bad!!!
someone around here put their baby in the closet because it was crying while he was playing EQ. A day later it was dead or something, I saw it on the news a year or two ago so I don't really remember the details. I also remember a guy shooting himself in the head because he couldn't cough up the monthly fee anymore or something money related like that.
I shall be playing Guild Wars, maybe not a MMORPG, but a fun RPG. I suggest you check it out, no monthly fee and they recently had 2 beta's. It's just underrated and being shadowed by World of Warcraft. Anyway, Half Life 2 and it's mods will hold me out for a long long time.
I am seriously considering buying Matrix Online, since I am buying a new computer for myself next week(rather than sharing the family one) and the specs are pretty good. Also, I am probably quitting my job, so I would have plenty of free time to use up in stuff like that...
I've never been able to get into RPGs. I play Second Life, which I like because it's more free-form and has more room for creativity. It can be addictive as any other game, but for me I would say that SL (and DV, for that matter) is providing a bridge from old social habits that centered around chemicals (booze and weed, among other things) to whatever I end up doing in the future. Is it healthy to take out your social impulses on people you'll probably never meet? No, but there are worse things.
hehe.. good pointQuote:

I like the concept of SL, but it seems a little too... detailed.. like the financial stuff. I hate having to work for my money as it is
Sure as hell don't want ANOTHER dead end job.. :P
PS: Did you ever say what that avatar is? It is a bit wierd...
lol at first I thought you were talking about my SL avatar (gets pretty much the same comments), and I was wondering how you knew who I am there. For any DV SLers--I"m Vudu.Quote:

You can come at SL a lot of different ways, Placebo. If you don't care about owning land or shopping, you can pretty much ignore the economy. I just like to build stuff and show it off :) I make more than I can spend just from entering avatar contests and the like.
Lately I've been thinking about maybe getting land...which would mean monthly fees...that's how they get you. I'll probably just stay homeless :D
I'd play if it wasn't for that stupid monthly fee.
Life? Me? Well, that's a joke...Quote:
