The briefing appeared to be relaxed, informal and regarding nothing of any great importance (the speaker himself gave me that impression. He didn't appear uptight or overly annoyed).

Seriously WTF is so "sad" about people laughing? You don't know what their meetings are usually like. You see one tiny clip of some people being human and you think the White House is a circus?

There are probably lots of reasons why the WH IS a circus, but this is not one of them.

Oh come off it. Reporters and white house staff aren't supposed to be stick in the mud suits. I didn't see anything more than a bunch of people with 6 figure salary uptight jobs having a laugh at situation that warranted it.
