Gene Pool (A Competition!)
Have you ever wanted to play a game where a little mini-evolution is at work? Have you ever wanted to breed a death species for overtaking a small square of space against other Dreamviews members?
Then this is the game for you.
The basic idea behind the game is that the computer randomly simulates a bunch of freaky creatures at the beginning of each "round". They swim around eating and mating, and naturally the slowest and most retarded creature will die out. This way, the fittest of the creatures will survive. And because it's an evolution-type simulator, mutations happen, at a very fast rate, so it's very fast evolution. If it's a retarded mutation, that creature will die out; if it's a beneficial mutation, that creature will thrive.
And evolution happens.
Simply swimming around not eating will deplete energy of your creature, as will mating - the energy passes on to the children. A swimbot will die out if it doesn't get to food in time, and the circle of life goes on. So the more a swimbot gets to eat and mate, the more it's genetic material is present in the gene pool. This naturally gives an advantage to the stronger, faster, fitter organisms.
Following this course of action, a dominant species will become apparent. You can select that species, maybe even pit it against another dominant species in a new pool to hone it. And then when you are satisfied with the creature you want in your tournament, you can send it to me.
You send it to me by selecting a prime example of your creature, and pressing "swimbot" at the top of the screen. There, you have the option of "saving" the creature to file. Do this.
Next, find the file. For me, it was on my desktop, named "swimbot1.dna". Open the file in notepad (I assume similar programs will also work) and there should be the genetic code of your creature there. This is an example of a genetic code (you don't want this creature, I purposefully selected the most retarded one):

PM your genetic code to me, and post in this thread saying you want in the competition. The first four genetic codes I get, I'll match them against each other. Only four, because you can only have up to four custom swimbots in the pool at one time.
So when I get your genetic code, I'll match them in a four-way competition. If a lot of people like the game, we can have a multi-tiered best creature kind of competition thing kind of going on.
I'll do a write-up of the match as soon as I get four swimbots, complete with screenshots. Remember: first four swimbot genetic codes I get are in the first match.
That is all.
