What to bring to a Potluck?

Hey, so I have a potluck in a few days.... I signed up to bring a main dish, and I'm wondering what some good things are to bring to something like a potluck, that won't cost me too much, and won't be too difficult to prepare in a few hours. I'm more so worried about cost than difficulty though. I need some sort of dish that can serve a large amount of people (there's going to be between 30-50 people there, I know you don't have to serve everyone at a potluck, but it would be nice to have enough so at least most people can get some if they want to).

So far, the only thing I can think of that serves a decent amount of people is a chili, but that's not very interesting, and there's probably someone else already doing one, so I'm trying to avoid it unless I have no other options.

So yeah, what can I bring to the potluck? Need some good ideas/recipes. Thanks.

You could try a turkey or a lot of meatloaf.

Or you could do baked ziti.

Hey guys, I'm back. Feels good man

Pot maybe? Kidding xD. You could make a giant crock pot full of soup or punch. Or one thing you could do is bring some chips and rotel dip and cheese.
Things are not as they seem

A platter of sushi perhaps? I know a platter wouldn't feed everyone at the potluck, but probaly only half will be interested in it anyway. If the people that are interested are anything like me, they will be so happy you brought it

Everything else mentioned in this thread would definitely be a good bet.

I'd go with baked ziti, it should be pretty cheap and you can make a shit ton of it fairly easily.

Thanks for the replies so far guys. The baked ziti is looking pretty good, it's pretty easy to make from the looks of it, and it looks delicious.
