OK. My friend and I are going to try to make one. That's probably at least a little stupid, but I do stupid stuff with him all the time. I know I'll need some kind of wrist strap (will probably get a wrist pad and take the plastic part off.) a butane barbecue lighter, a small butane refill can, and some minor stuff. Other than that, I'm not so sure where he's getting the parts (mainly the igniter is the part I'm confused about).

any help with that last bit is apreciated :p

saw that actually. I'll watch again and try to figure out what the igniter is. After that all I need is some circut board for insulation and somthing to hold the butane containers.

EDIT: It's a jet lighter. Now where to get one of those...

If you have any Ideas about what to do at the point of the butane nozzle, please do tell. Because I don't think I'll be press-fitting it into an aluminum block.

I think it's because gasoline reacts with the sealing compounds used to hold
super soakers and other waterguns together. Alchohol is commonly used as
well as a substitute.

On a good note, went to Home Depot today and picked up several vital
components for the pyro hand mounted deel. I'm using a piece of crimped
copper tubing with a tiny hole drilled in it's side as the nozzle for the Butane.
The tube I'm using to rig the nozzle to the cartridge is 1/4inch vinyl
microtubing (a 50ft roll!) that you can find in the plumbing section by all the
sprinkler stuff. A 1/4 inch barb connector is used between the tube and the
cartridge, and a rubber washer to keep a tight seal. I'm letting some
adhesive set at the moment for the jet-flame tube and the wires that run
alongside to ignite it. Only hard part's going to be rigging up the cords to my
fingers and cartridges correctly, and finding a proper splint for my arm to
attach all of it to.

THIS THING IS DAMN AWESOME!!! It's like a X-Men superpower!!! shiiiiitt!! I need 12 of them just for me!!
