      Help me buy a Fedora

I'm looking to get a good Fedora.

I've narrowed it down a bit on one site I'm using to take a gander.

If you have any other suggestions I'd be happy to hear them.

Otherwise tell me which one seems best, price notwithstanding.

It will be used in both casual and formal events.

A man after my own hat heart.

I buy my hats from Village Hat Shop. You can get a Jaxon fedora from them for a damn good price. I bought my dad an Aussie-style fedora from them last year, he loves it in the winter as he's bald (well, actually I bought it for me, but measured my head wrong, so it fit him and not me, so I gave it to him, heh).

If you really want to go stylish, buy a beaver felt fedora. They're a bit more sturdy and durable than wool felt, but cost a good bit more. If you really want to go all out, and like the Aussie style, I strongly recommend an Akubra. You really don't get much better than an Akubra.

I will warn you, though, that it may not be all you're thinking. A felt fedora is hot in anything much over 75F weather. They will shed water pretty well, but in a downpour will soak through (and subsequently lose shape) without some kind of waterproofing. Other than that, they pretty much effing rock.

Thanks for helping bring hats back.

      Josh knows hats, too!

I favor the first choice, anyways. The "Henschel Firm Felt High Roller Fedora Hat". Gotta love the feathers aye?

I need more hats. My oilskin drover's hat is getting pretty battered.

Thanks for the advice, all very true.

The Aussie style looks pretty damn good, but I don't think it suits me.

I'm also looking into a good top-hat. I've always had a thing for them.

Agreed. I think the Red/Green/Yellow might not be fitting though. I'm leaning more to the Dobbs Fur Felt Savoy. The feathering is subtle, but noticeably stylish.

I'm also expressing great interest in the Bailey Cashlux Malle Stacy Adams Premium in Grey/Black as opposed to Black/Grey. Good for Mafia meetings.

The middle hat in the OP definitely stood out the most to me. Get that one.

Now Exo, do you really think a Fedora will fit with that monster afro growing out of your head?
