Just got a cat

From the SPCA. I looked around twice for a cat, and once for a dog but i was not getting a dog, it was just me looking. As we are about to leave this cat calls me from outside, and all he is doing is rubbing his head all over me. It did not matter that someone else was there, he choose me.

So i got him. 2 years old black cat. He is SOOOOOOOOO different then what i am used to. He does not seem to be different thn normal cats or dogs that i am used to, he seems extremly friendly and normal, and love to squack all the time. I guess i just gotta get used to him as i just got him.

Oh yeah, I forgot to comment on that. It made no sense whatsoever. I'm all for chain of consciousness, but for crying out loud please don't contradict yourself in the same sentence. Plus the syntax in that post is just weird . . .

Also, don't piss off Nina, please. Generally considered bad form.

What i meant was, my old dog, and my old cat were much different then the normal pets and had a personality everyone loved, they were soooo unique and almost the same. This cat seems like every other cat i have met. I'm used to a certain type of personality the past 15 years, and this is completly different then what i'm used to. By other cat i mean other cats i ahve come into contact with at friends places, or wherever i am. I'll get used to change, it's only been a day.

BTW about the picture. I'll post one when i figure out how to use my iphone and transfer it to my desktop.

I know you loved your dogs Lucid. But to be honest, I think the exact same of my pets, as do most people. The more time you spend with them the more human they become. My dogs are like people to me, I treat them with a higher regard that most real people. I've never been with pets very long, but even know I can only imagine how upset I'd be if I lost them. I feel for your loss, and I'm sure your new cat will grow on you to a point where you like it as much as your old pets.

Ohhh ok. Now it makes more sense. Damn I feel your pain. I really miss my doggie.

I cry about it all the time. But I have to agree with grasshoppa, I think everyone thinks their pets are super unique and special. And I'm sure they are. I think my dog was the greatest animal in existence. But what makes this cat seem so normal? Maybe you guys just need to establish a relationship ya know? Give it some time.

Yeah, i suppose we are biased in these things. Anyway the cat was all active and following me around all day yesterday and slept with me snuggled at my legs most of the night, and this morning following me, but after that he's been on his own all day, and i have only seen him once today after i got home from work, he ran away from me. He just needs to get used to the house.
