And now, he is free. |

"There's nothing better than knowing what it's like to fly like superman. Being fully aware of the air whipping by you, controlling every movement of every single atom in your body with a single thought. It's real freedom, and there's not a word good enough to describe it, so I'll just call it dreamy for now."
I've seen him on the Science Channel also and he was pretty amazing. |

What a great guy. RIP |

So I had my first OBE the other day... I was completely beside myself!

He came to my school when I was in the 8th grade. He was utterly amazing. RIP, rain man. |

DILDs: A Lot
Truth. Respect the dead, seriously. Don't be a twat and try and be super-internet smart by trying to be an ass. Because seriously, the dude you're insulting is more intelligent that you could ever be in your entire life. No matter what you ever do, you will never be as smart as Kim Peek. Don't insult him because he's better than you. |

You do this every fucking time.
No sweat.
No tears.
No guilt.
You do this every fucking time.

There's no point in even saying that. Okay? So what if he did? Are you going to stand there and say he couldn't read two pages of a book in 10 seconds? Are you going to stand there and say he didn't have an incredible mind? |

Being able to read two pages of a book in 8* seconds has less to do with intelligence and more to do with a trained ability. He could memorize massive amounts of information, but that has nothing to do with intelligence but rather the unique ability to store and access information, like RAM on a computer. Plus, the guy was a Mormon. He wasn't smart, his mind just worked in a unique way. I respect that, but I would bet that 90% of the people on this forum are "smarter" than Kim Peek. As in being able to solve problems of many varieties quickly and efficiently. I may view intelligence in the conventional way, but I think I have a better understanding of intelligence than yourself. |

In respect to a guy who is not able to enjoy this thread because he's removed from the living, lets not argue about his intelligence... I mean he knew a shit ton of stuff, and at the end of the article it even talks about how he started to change his savant state, he was becoming more "intelligent" when he was diagnosed with a disability that stated he could not or more than likely would not. On his behalf he had more brain power than we did in some areas and he was an amazing human being. |
