I would just like to point out that European countries (atleast Denmark) start on the 24th. We even open our presents today.
Happy 24th and 25th I suppose :)
I'm an atheist but I celebrate Christmas anyway because
A) Everyone I know celebrates Christmas and
B) It's lost the religious parts of it anyway.
Happy non-denominational winter holiday everybody. :D
Longest, single sentence in this history of mankind. :chuckle:Quote:
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all...and a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2009, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only "America" in the Western hemisphere), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, or sexual orientation of the wishee.
omg today I drank the worst wine in my life (I hope so). Happy warming-up for 2010 everyone, or Christmas if you believe so.
LOL Exo!!
I don't celebrate the holiday for religious reasons, though I'm not currently active my religion.
Whenever people wish me a Merry Christmas etc., the most simple thing in the world to do is simply smile and say "thank you" :D
Today's just a regular day for me. We've been having rolling "brown-outs" and it's so windy outside it sounds like a hurricane (at other times it sounds like there's a helicopter on our roof!)
But it's been a very good, very relaxing day.
I hope everyone has had a good day.
What do you think? vodka with apple slices, or white zinfandel for non-christian December 25th?
Both? :DQuote:

Eww, bad combination.
Vodka with apple slices?
Yes, the apple flavour leaks into the vodka, then you have vodka soaked apples too :)
I see. I've looked for zinfandel in wikipedia before seeing your post though.
I don't believe it's the first anniversary of Christmas 2008 already. Wooooooo! :V
merry christmas everyone
Happy four-days-after-the-winter-solstice :D
Vodka with apple slices sounds interesting.
If I'm drinking vodka though, I mix it with chocolate milk- yummy:)
Is that good? Do you use skim chocolate milk or something, milk curdles quickly in alcohol (I've seen it playing kings, it's disgusting.) Or else you must drink it really fast :D :wino:
Playing Kings?
I usually nurse everything I drink. I could spend an hour drinking a glass and I've had no problems. I use whole milk and a little bit of vodka- just enough to give the drink a little kick.
I think it's very good. I was told for years the drink was called a "Black Russian", but I've since discovered that to be untrue lol
A truly great drink is a frozen grasshopper. Get some vanilla bean icecream, some Creme de Mint (sp) and Creme de Cocoa. Blend it together in a blender and there you go. Some people like to drizzle a little chocolate syrup on top or blend in an oreo cookie with it, but I like it with no extras.
Another tasty drink is Peach Shnops (sp!!!), vanilla bean icecream and a splash of OJ.
Oh yeah... add ice while blending.
Great... now I wish I had one lol
I can't recall when I last had a drink of something stronger than a wine cooler... and even that's been awhile.
