no comment really, I just don't think it's a good idea.

      I'll comment.

Maybe it's not a good idea because apparently it's way too hard to practice respect for everyone else's opinions and beliefs. It's too bad, though, really. I rather like hearing about what others believe. The personality of religion and culture fascinates me. I love when someone says they believe in someone/something. Spirituality is a wonderful and personal thing. I love how everyone on this earth is different; no two minds, hearts, or souls are the same (barring any strange anomolies, of course. But that's another topic...). We are different and we should rejoice, respect, and learn from one another. Who gives a shit if your neighbor is Muslim and you are Jewish? I mean, really, who does it hurt if your neighbor holds different beliefs than you? They're still your neighbor, right? They'll still lend you their lawnmower or a cup of sugar if you need it. They still smile, and bleed, and cry, and love, and walk the earth just like you do.

It puzzles me why the human race as a whole can't wrap our tightly closed minds around that simple ideal. Maybe I'm just dumb or something, but I can't understand why wars are fought over something as personal as religion.

It's like the world arguing over whose favorite color is the 'right' one...

I always fancied a similar pespective to Lost Soul's.
I've always imagined that a good argument against racism, wars on religeon etc. would be to go up to some of the people fighting and cut myself across the palm of the hand and let it bleed a little. Then i would show it to them and say:
"We are all the same here! on the inside! Who gives a fat rats ass if you all worship differently! You're all in this world for the long haul! Get used to each other!"

Of course thats how it goes in my head, in real life i'd probably be told to shut up and sit down or something....

What would a (mostly) lucid dreaming board need with a religion board for, anyway? It would just end up with alot of upset people.

It's probably just not a good idea.

I appreciate the idea, but I think I'm going with "no" on this one. That doesn't mean that religion can't be discussed; rather, i'd just assume not promote it by providing a forum for it.
Each new day is a chance to turn it all around.

I think people cant understand such simple things as freedom of religion because of "horde effect" or "crowd effect". As soon as there are more then 2 people, their attitude towards serious topics changes dramatically.
Common sense is replaced by more personal motives, such as gain popularity, be cool, play his own ego game, etc etc etc...

it just might go on for about 3000 pages, and overload the forum, KABOOM!

or im just a retard, and there was no point to this post...alright,
digging a hole again, i'll stop now.

I know I must sound opinionated, maybe biased and quite possible jades. But sooner than later they’ll be throwing quarters to you on stage.[/b]

A religion forum is probably not the best idea. This is a board of lucid dreaming, and not religion. I'm sure there are many other places for that kind of talk. Plus, religious 'wars' are usually just endless historical rants. Not something this place needs.

You know, that makes perfect sense to me...

Thank you. I found a whole bunch of stuff on Tabasa. Now if I could only find some way to import the game and steal a Japanese PS2 to play it on.

By the way, where is that quote from?

Yah I was going to ask about the new Avy too I likeses it =)

I would love to have that conversation too.

The key term is conversation...we would not be arguing over which is right, why that aspect of your religion is stupid, over why you should beleive this, or not beleive that...and so forth...

      It would be,

This is my experience, how I have come to beleive this or why I have come to follow this group philosophy.

No one is more right than the other, as no two of us are alike and there for cannot follow the same religion, we can follow a common Idea, something that agrees with us very much, but for each individual the religion will be different, sometimes drasticaly so even regarding the same basic Idea!

You would think about what you say, read through it, understand what you are saying be aware that you are speaking of something very close and personal to that person, think how it would make you feel.

I think if we could do those things and converse about how we have come to be and think this way we would accomplish much, none of us would be the same we each have an individual personality, just go through the range from hatefull to compassionate from quiet to loud, everyone unique.

Whoa.. hehe i think its time for sleepies

Its from MIB, the first one. K said that when J said that people were smart enough and they could handle knowing about aliens.
