      Sometimes Mom & Dad just do not have any luck in naming their off-spring.

      This is related yet not:

      My name is nice, I like it and all, but my FIRST name is so uncommon, always pronounced in the more common way...gets old, but I'm used to it. I hear it happen all too often: new classes, being called down to the office, etc. And other such things I won't mention...

      Also, my last name has a way we pronounce it, and an acceptable way. I was called to the office on two seperate occasions, and the guy totally pronounced the first vowel of it wrong...it's like, ugh...it's not THAT hard to pronounce, it's not that long!

      Ugh... if only on those class charts there were parenthases for pronouncing certain names-gosh! Then this would be MUCH less likely to happen!
