Google Maps Mistake?
Go to google maps with sattelite view
Go to the southern most tip of Argentina (zoomed really far out)
And perfectly east of it will be a smallish white island.
Zoom in and see what the name is.
This seems to obvious to be a mistake. Of course it's some small island between argentina and antarctica... but it's still a wierd mistake. It'll be obvious btw...
edit:
It's not the first island to the east, it's the smaller whitish one...

Lol! I just googled the name of the island (South Georgia and the South Sandwich is) and found out it's an actual island... but the 'is' part stands for island. I guess the name was to long to put all of 'island' in it... since all the other islands can fit all of it.
Anyways false alarm... I thought it was some mistake, like the island was called south georgia and someone accidently added sandwich or something like that. Guess not.

Hawaii used to be the (North) Sandwich Islands.

SLIGHTLY off topic, but there is a certain map thing (I forget :P), and it doesn't know EXACTLY where our house is. Maybe mapquest...It thinks it's 5 houses away, or something...

just write what the island was called dammit.
