Looking for a word
I watched 'What are Dreams? Nova.' and at some point in time, someone said a word that sounded a LOT like "plan-ah-plee". I took it to mean "vast possibilities or varieties" but when I've looked up the word I've found nothing.
It may have been said by one of the foreign experts.
My kids are with me and complained about watching it the first time, so I can't rewatch it any time soon.
Does anyone know the word or a similar one that sounds like it?

Only word I can think of that comes closest (begins with P, three syllables) is "plethora".

Most likely seems Invader's suggestion of:
Plethora pleth·o·ra
–noun
1.
overabundance; excess: a plethora of advice and a paucity of assistance.
Slipping a little further from your definition but maybe closer to how you thought it sounded might be:
Panoply pan·o·ply
–noun,plural-plies.
1.
a wide-ranging and impressive array or display: the dazzling panoply of the maharaja's procession; the panoply of European history.
Could be a foreign word being used, I suppose.

*SMASK*
Thanks a million. Panoply must be the winner. My ears just added an extra "l" for some reason lol.

Sorry to rez such an old and dead topic...
I'm thinking of a word that roughly means to imbue or assign. In my head, that word is impudiate. Example: "People tend to impudiate bad motives toward the people they meet, instead of assuming the best."
Help? lol
What word am I thinking of?
