Looking at my old posts... I was such an IDIOT on this forum as a teenager!

I have been a member of this forum for quite a long time now, though I do not post or read too frequently but I thought it would be interesting to read through some of my old posts.

It seems like every year of my life, I can look back a year and see ways in which I have changed and grown and realize that the things I thought a year ago seem foolish to me now.

But looking back about 5 or 6 years now that was a trip! I had so much to learn and was so arrogant too! I hope I can look back 5 or 6 years from now and say the same thing. Here I share some of myfavorite posts. I realize some of these might not make full sense in context but here you go. If any of you guys want to go through your old posts please do!

I'm not saying it's crap. I'm just saying that at the extremely advanced level of nutrition knowledge which I know, then it's not really something very interesting or out there.

Stop wrapping yourselves up in this experience mumbo jumbo. There is only one goal which is happiness. Hapiness is just a good emotion. Like laughing or being proud etc... If you are happy by experiencing ups and downs then your still happy but if you were happy all the time your life wouldn't suck because you would be happy. It's not like you can't get bored of being happy or if your happy to much you can start to be sad. I live to experience life too but I want to be happy.Everybody wants to be happy or enlightened. There are no emotions better than happiness. If you experience life for the ups and downs and that satisfies you then you are still happy. It's not like your not happy to experience ups and downs becuase then you wouldn't enjoy it like you say. Does that make any sense...

God cannot control us for he has given us the gift of freedom. We are gods will. We choose are own reality. I'm not saying that we could have stopped the tsuanmi but just as an overall truth. Our thoughts become realities. We must always fulfill the next higher thought of overselves and our world. That is the only way we can begin to have a spiritual shift of conciousness in this world. If enough people think of something, those thoughts begin to dwell in the astral and enough thoughts build up in one place their vibrations slow down and move into the physical realm. Anyway the point is God divine plan is existence. There is only us and our thought.

Graditude... cmon I mean who doesn't want that. Seriously. You post here, and I'll give you graditude anytime you ask for it. Now thats a good deal.

Good and Evil are concepts of the Human Mind. The human soul, however, has no judgement on good an evil. God does not sit in judgement of our actions. What is right and what is wrong is only relative to who we choose to be and our perception of the world. When you die god will not judge you of your sins but accept you into heaven no matter what:
Firstly, because hell does not exist.
Secondly, because nobody does anything wrong according to who they choose to be and what their perception of the world is.

It's like the Ying and the Yang, the contradiction of life. The opposites. This does not mean that either is more evil or good than the other. Just remember that good and evil are made from the mind, not the soul.

My early, teenage posts were as mind bendingly awesome as my current posts. Probably even more so.

How about creating a separate off-topic forum solely for discussing religious issues, and disallowing the discussion of religion outside of that forum? Thing is, not very much outside of religion and/or "spirituality" gets discussed in the Philosophy forum. At least they'll be able to discuss the other stuff in a civil manner (hopefully). Thoughts?

We all see how that turned out. I also suggested that we make the regulars of the proposed forum wear some sort of emblem on their sleeve and obey a strict curfew, but those ideas unfortunately didn't catch on.
