OMG, it's a lucid dreaming forum!

And I've forgotten this fact for a while now.

When I first joined, I was obsessed with attaining lucid dreams and determined to use any advice, new techniques, old techniques, etc etc. I read and posted on the Lucid Dreaming boards of this forum a lot. Then over time, I found lucid dreaming difficult enough to just sort of give up on, and ever since I've just been frequenting the off-topic boards whenever I come here. After a while I've almost become blind to the top half of the forum index.

Is this the case for anyone else here? It's just amusing, and in a way sad. My interest in dreaming and lucidity has been reinvigorated, though. Despite how crazy difficult it is. (at least for someone who thinks too much yet doesn't have many substantial thoughts during the day)

Yeah, this has happened to me too. Twice, actually, cause I also rediscovered this place once. It's kinda strange, really.

      Does it simply overwhelm.

lol, it's like this is a dream and off-topic is the regular dream and venturing into the on topic is moving the dream into lucidness.... ha so i guess chat would be dream sharing... well there you go Deery you already been lucid and shared dreams if you've been in chat.... what accomplishments!

Being fully aware of the air whipping by you, controlling every movement of every single atom in your body with a single thought. It's real freedom, and there's not a word good enough to describe it, so I'll just call it dreamy for now."

The off topic discussion here is really nice because it's interesting enough to keep you around when you're having a dry spell and have sort of lost that spark for lucid dreaming. However there is no way in hell I would have been a member for as long as I have were this not a forum for lucid dreaming. If I am having a dry spell or get busy with life stuff it's easy to sort of forget how amazing lucid dreaming is...but as soon as you have a lucid dream, it allll comes back and you remember how awesome and amazing it is and the flame gets ignited again.

How did your interest in lucid dreaming get re-ignited?...if I may ask.

I haven't practiced lucid dreaming since...before I even joined, really.

I used to give a lot of advice to help others, because I was at least very interested in it. but my interest waned after a year or two and I haven't made a post in there since :p

I came for the lucid dreaming, stayed for the people. interesting conversations ranging from philosophical to senseless. I've tried several other forums with for different subjects, but none of them felt the same.

I'm still generally interested in lucid dreaming, always will be, and I'm sure one of these days I'll get back into it.

Haha, that's a great, unique way of looking at it.

I've just been having some memorable, eventful dreams lately that have reminded me just how powerful they can be, and what it could mean to harness the power of our dreams.

Heh, whenever I want some kind of feedback on a dream topic, I'd feel more inclined to post it here for the sake of getting responses from the community I'm more familiar with.
