Need Second Opinion on WEP hack

I'm not asking for any of you to agree with what I'm doing, but I'd like to know if any of you have experience with hacking WEPs. I've got a tutorial on http://tazforum.thetazzone.com/viewt...sd=a&hilit=wep
and I'd like to know if it's safe.

Any help? Just wanna make sure it won't bug up my laptop.

I've hacked wep networks before. As long as you spoof your mac address and don't have your laptop report an ID that can be tracable to you, there should be no problem. Most likely it won't be a problem even if you don't check those two things, but you never know. Doesn't hurt to be carefull.

At any rate it probably won't fuck up your computer, but you never know when you use hacked drivers and that stuff. You should rather check out a linux live CD, like BackTrack.

Thanks for the reply. Is there any backtrack equivilent that works for windows? Or is there any 'legit' way you know of that works for getting weps on windows?
