I'm REALLY not a fan of the design here. Could do with losing a lot of the glitz and special effects in place of good design. Just use simple tables and decent colours.

It's nice, if you like it then great. It's your blog do what you want. If you want to use it for commercial purposes, you should think about a different design. But, once you start to add comments and categories and content, I'm sure it will look great.
