Ways to make money o'er the summer

I loathe the idea of spending summer vacation walking around being bored, and have decided that I will have things to do during the summer, and have a good list already, including purchasing a Nintendo Wii, and earning the money to buy it.

I'm thirteen, and live in a small[er] town. Needless to say, there's nothing around that would higher me. I've done my own research, and can certainly tell you what I CAN'T do.

Newspapers - Already taken around here.

Lemonaide - I have no interest in selling drinks for fifty cents, making two sales a day, and then buying a bunch of materials for the whole shebang.

eBay - Well, this isn't completely scratched out. I can dropship, but I won't sell stuff around the house. Mainly, because I don't have enough stuff to sell.

"stuff around the house" - I already get paid for doing stuff around the house. I get clothing, a roof over my head, a good family etc.

Really, I'm looking for something more internet based. I'm not too bad at selling things, and I'm good enough at writing to make some decent ads and write reviews.

I know what I can do, but I don't really know how to profitably utilize it.

I've spent several hours looking around, but haven't found a whole lot.

      Any ideas?

5 bucks is daylight robbery, unless it's a tiny yard :\

oh shit you're thirteen??? I was thinking at least 15.

uh anyway, I'll think on it?

      Yeah, well, here's another disadvantage.

I live in a small neighborhood. And, the houses that are in my neighborhood are BIG...with BIG lawns. Cutting an average lawn in my neighborhood would take about two hours.

And then, there aren't any neighborhoods close to me, so that also limits my opportunities.

Go bargain hunting. On the internet.

Find stuff on ebay or whatever for dead cheap. Things that would be sellable for a higher price. Do that loads of times, and you will have made a hefty profit, if done right.

That requires a lot of skill to do Slash and it can be risky. I also doubt Noogah can do very much e-shopping at his age.

Making money at your age is generally kind of difficult. Doing some kind of lame job like cleaning windows or mowing lawns really is your best shot, sorry to say

      FFFF-

I forgot he is 13. That may be not a good idea.

In that case... yea, a part time job is the best bet... I'm afraid.

my sister did this shit at like 15. she's always been real ambitious...except, she went to thrift stores to find stuff to sell on ebay. she made quite a bit of money...also, in the US anyway, you cannot get a part time job legally if you are under 16. of course, I'm sure you could find some chinese restaurant and wash dishes, pay you under the table :D

      anyone you could babysit for...?

are you crafty at all? artistic? I dunno, if you can make stuff you could try etsy.

unrelated: you remind me of my little brother, who is also thirteen. he's pretty sharp for his age, and more mature (most of the time :|). I dunno, you just seem more articulate/smart than I'd expect from a 13 year old which is why I was surprised.

also, "stuff around the house" - I already get paid for doing stuff around the house. I get clothing, a roof over my head, a good family etc.

HAHA, I just noticed that. that's good.
