Well doctors are always very careful with stuff like that. So chances are, it is probably okay. I wouldn't go running or jumping on it, but its probably alright to put a little weight on it now and then. |

I have been in a cast for almost 3 weeks now from a broken ankle. The other day I wanted to see if it would hurt if I put weight on my foot. My doctor told me NO weight at all, but I just couldn't resist. I'm so impatient, and I think I'm all healed. haha. but It didn't hurt, and I've been putting weight on it now and then. But I don't want to make it worse.... |

I'd stick to what your doctor says. He's the expert, not us ragtag internet kids. |

Putting weight on it might make it heal more slowly, but I don't think it would be too terrible... I actually have no clue what I'm talking about, don't listen to me. Go with what Black Eagle said. |

Doctor's advice. Consider the example in which you damage a joint while participating in an athletic activity and keep off it for a while so that it may heal. You'll find that eventually you can carry out day to day activities without feeling pain or soreness of any kind in that joint, but if you were to go back to whatever activity had caused it, you shouldn't be surprised to find the pain return rather quickly, as the lack of pain does not always indicate that the damage was fully healed to begin with. |

You don't fuck with broken bones - major joints, especially. |

Hmm. You might not be feeling pain anymore, but it may be that the bone is still fragile. Getting used to the weigh again should be a good thing, but this must involve extreme care, just like in physiotherapy. |

Saying quantum physics explains cognitive processes is just like saying geology explains jurisprudence.
