Well said. That's how I see my pets anyways. They live and server a purpose to families. Comfort, laughter, and many more emotions. Pets can boost ones mood and overall feelings :] So they aren't just fuzzy cuddle creatures.

^I hear ya, brother. Pets share a bond with their owners that is undefinable at best...my cat and I are a prime example, considering I'm the only one who can pick him up and carry him around, something he won't let anything else in my family do. He's the animal equivalent of a brother, and every time I have a dream where he gets hurt or killed, I usually wake up quite depressed.

Sorry for your loss...you have my deepest condolences.

I'm sorry to hear that man. I know it sucks when a good pet dies (especially when some jackass runs over them). My dog is starting to get too old to move around like she used to. I've had her for 9 years and she's the most loyal dog I'll probably ever own, its going to suck when shes gone. But you've just got to enjoy them while their still here.

It's always sad to see something close to you leave. My sister has had multiple parrots that have died from unknown causes (and no, she did not forget to feed them) And the look on her face when a loved parrot is found lifeless says it all. Even if I didn't like it for some reason, it still gets me going. Still, these are parrots, not a fifteen year old cat. I feel sorry for you.

Anything anyone forms a bond with or has a long history with has some effect when it is no longer around. Even inanimate objects lol. If you have had a nice car for 20 years and it just blows up I'm sure it won't make you happy. But thanks for all your posts.

Sorry about your loss, been through this before and it's maddening! especially when you watch them slip away right infront of your eyes.

15 years is a good time to be with a pet. That, at least, is a little something to be thankful for. I put up a photo of my old cat over my computer so I see him every day and remember him. I still miss him.

RIP...Im sorry to hear that but be happy because you showed to your cat love and she had a home. Its not all dark..

Sorry to hear about your loss My dog died 4 years ago now, and I still miss her dearly. She was my pack sister, she let me bury my head in her fur and cry when I needed to, we played and ran together every day. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss that clumsy ball of fur. Sometimes, she comes back to visit in dreams. I do believe it's actually her. I love those so much
